“coming home”
Reviewed 8 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

It is a very charming calm home, close to amenities, pub, shops and bus stop to Plymouth. You have a great Chinese a cross the road. There is a small park area near by for children and a space for dogs to run around. You have a lovely log fire in the living room. Three lovely double bed rooms. Outside you have a lovely little garden with BBQ, you can also watch the tide go in and out on hooe lake. Was nice to have essentials on arrival, tea ,sugar, coffee. There are also lots of great walks in the area.

“Relaxing Holiday”
Reviewed 12 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

I stayed at this cottage with my family for a week. The cottage is lovely - homely and comfortable. The accommodation is well presented and clean. We enjoyed using the wood burner and relaxing in the sitting room. The kitchen is stocked with cooking equipment which was well used during the week. There is a good selection of crockery, glasses and cutlery.

It is easy to get into Plymouth city centre by bus from the cottage as the bus stop is a two minute walk away. You can also go to the city by boat from Mount Batten.
All in all we had a great stay.

I would also like to mention that the caretakers Wendy and Terry were brilliant and made us feel welcome.

“The Oak Cottage experience”
Reviewed 18 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Oak cottage is a quaint old fishing cottage on the edge of Hooe lake at Plymstock near Plymouth. It is a fabulous property with every imaginable facility available for its guests. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it was home from home and we were all very sad to leave it.
We would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in this area, and of course an added bonus was the British Fireworks Competition that are held on the Hoe to which we had a great view over the Hooe road.
