Stayed at this natural gem over the weekend for a 2 night break. I can't speak highly enough of the whole experience! From David's informative briefing on all the local (friendly) wildlife to the facilities & the quiet placement of the tree houses within the extensive forest...all 1st class. We will definitely be back & in the meantime have been telling all about this wonderful oasis on the Atherton Tablelands.

We love staying here. It couldn’t be further from the stress of daily life. Great place to relax with a good book and great company, you feel totally secluded and spoilt with the local wild life visiting your doorstep. We’ll be back again.

Room tip: All treehouses are amazing

We travelled round quite a few lovely places in North Tropical Queensland but this is the place that the whole family voted was the best and the highlight of our time up there. From the detailed introduction by David, to the comfortable beds, well provided accommodation, variety and proximity of wildlife, this is a place the whole family would love to revisit. We were a family of 10 & stayed 2 nights, 6 in the Bower House and 4 in Platypus. There was limited wifi in the Bower House and none in Platypus, if this is important to you - it is a wildlife retreat and excellent as this - my suggestion is to turn your gadgets off and get closer to nature and you'll love it! Even the 6 no. 17-28 yr olds agree with this! David is very friendly and knowledgeable and was happy to answer all our wildlife questions and you can get very close to some of the animals and birds.

What a fantastic experience, we stayed in the the 2 bed treehouse with loft room 2 nights and were wowed from 1st stepping in to the lovely timber accommodation to the day we left, luxurious & compete with fireplace,
Dave is very accommodating and full of interesting facts about the wildlife and tropical surroundings, he encourages you to feed your visitors. You are provided with the right food and can expect to be up close with possums, wallabies, parrots and turtles, we were lucky to have spotted a platypus in the creek and were visited by a cassowary

Room tip: treehouse puts you right in the rainforest away from other guests isolated in tropical surroundings

This place was by far the most expensive lodgings we had in Queensland, but was also the most luxureous. Large, private cabins deep in the rainforest and overlooking the river below had everything we'd hoped for: very comfortable beds; full kitchen; well cleaned; large porch with hammock and tables. We were surprised to find 2-person spa tub and washer/dryer at our place. The owner David, gave us an introductory rundown on the wildlife here and what to expect. As predicted, within minutes of our filling the bird feeders with the supplied seed the wildlife be gan showing up: honeyeaters; catbirds; emerald fruit doves; spectacular king parrots; riflebirds; and adorable possums. Brush turkeys here too, but they're actually a nousance. On the property grounds we got up-close encounters with wallabies cassawaries, turtles, and a surprise look at a large fresh-water eel in the river just below or cabin. There's lots of trails here too, but most of the wildlife was seen at or near our cabin. Loved this place and would love to return someday!
