We stayed four nights at Aito Apartments with Jean-Marc and Mere. They were our hosts, but we felt like members of the family. When we arrived we were invited to join the pre-birthday meal for Jean-Marc. We talked a lot, and we have learned a lot about the country and the people in Tahiti and the Cook Islands. Mere brought even some Papayas and Coconuts to our apartment, at our arrival there was already some drinking water, juice, bread and lemons in our fridge. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, a nice living room, a beautifully decorated bathroom and a comfortable bed with a fan at the ceiling. The whole apartment is fully screened, and we did not get any mosquito bites! There is a TV, but watch out, Rarotonga has only one TV station, and you won't be able to get other stations. Well, there is so much to do on this island, you won't need a TV... There is the possibility to get WiFi, but it costs a lot of money to get connected. Do you really need it? No - at least we did not. If you want, you can cross the street, walk over the neighbour lot and you will reach a beautiful beach with white sand. Maybe you will meet Toto, the dog of Jean-Marc - poor guy, he lost one leg, but he is still happy and loves to play with the dog of the neigbour.
Well, thanks a lot, Mere and Jean-Marc, that you let us feel like family members, not like guests.

Room Tip: Both apartments are nice!

Aito apartments are awesome. They are large and airy with a full kitchen and also a barbeque. The bathroom is huge and the bed was very comfy. I would recommend them to anyone and Mere and Jean Marc are fabulous hosts.

Mere and Jean-Marc were exceptionally welcoming. The fridge was filled with bread, eggs, noodles, butter, coffee, tea and we were invited to have one of their delicious meals on Thursday and Sunday from their Muri Beach food stall.
The apartment was huge, with a great bathroom, washing machine, a great kitchen with gas hob and all the pots and pans you need. The bed was comfortable. We stayed 15 days after which Mere took us to the airport. Mere and Jean-Marc were great to talk to about all Rarotongan.

From the minute we walked in, we were blown away by the hospitality shown by our hosts. The apartment is modern, clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need. If we were to ever return, there is no where else we would think of staying other than Aito Apartments.

We were last at Aito in 2010 this time we were back with our almost six month old baby girl and my parents for a family wedding. It was so great to see Mere , Jean-Marc and Tutu again. The apartments were just as great, the lovely food extras were so perfect. baby had a portacot with a lovely mattress and she slept so well!! We loved our stay so much , we always will stay at Aito whenever we are in Rarotonga as it really is just wonderful. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality once again , including our pick up and drop off to the airport, the yummy yummy food , and for just being such wonderful friendly relaxed hosts!! Look forward to our next stay with you!!
