Don't let the name put you off. This is a very upscale, hidden gem. The views alone are worth it. Set in beautiful vineyard country far from any city noise, this is Italy at it's best.

Perched on a hill, the hotel has an excellent view of the surrounding countryside. The dining "room" is under large canvass covers on the front lawn. Dining al fresco in this location is an amazing experience. The food is all locally sourced and cooked fresh to order. There is a set menu each evening but a large number of course to select from. You can choose the entire menu or just select those items you want. There is also an excellent wine list composed of mainly local wines. Excellent.

The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and speak English.

There are only a few rooms so the hotel is generally quiet. The rooms are basically furnished but large and comfortable, each with private bathroom. Amenities are restocked daily.

There is a small flat screen TV in each room with a few international TV channels. But with the available views, you will not want to waste time watching TV.

The hotel is family owned and operated and they go out of their way to ensure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. If you are in the area, very highly recommended.

This is an amazing place, with a beatiful panorama view, a friendly family hosting (speak very good English), and the food is so amazing and great value for money. Dinner is 30 eur per person and I did not count the courses but you get plenty of lovely food.

And in the morning the serve you an been better breakfast!

Highly recommended.

If you are traveling through the Langhe/Roero area, I highly recommend detouring to this agriturismo, which is a bit removed from the heart of the wine towns. We went for Sunday lunch (make a reservation) to avoid driving on unfamiliar, dirt roads in the dark. This was the regional dining experience we had hoped for! The location alone lifted our hearts. We sat on a terrace overlooking a breathtaking view of roses, vineyards and verdant hills. There is no menu (as it should be in an agriturismo) - we just sat back as course after course of regional specialties were served. Everything was fresh and tasty! Portion sizes were reasonable. My husband is gluten intolerant and he was able to have modified versions of every dish (including homemade GF pasta and bread!) The entire meal, which consisted of 7 courses, came to all of 30 euro per person. Wine is not included but bottles range from around 12-18 euro. Throughout the meal, the friendly waitresses were happy to describe each dish in a mix of Italian and English. The very kind owner, Rino, pays attention to his guests. He is proud of his property, which also serves as a B&B. After our meal, took us on a tour of the grounds. This was hands down our favorite dining experience during our 4 days in the Langhe/Roero. Go hungry and you won't be disappointed!

Staying at the Cascina Vrona is the best idea we had when we decided to visit the Piedmonte area of Italy. First the lovely house and its pool with a view offered us a beautiful relaxing time. The room was absolutely perfect and cosy. But the dinner with its 8 courses meals put our experience at its best. Family and extremely fine cuisine made with love, we really had a blast talking wine with the father of our host whom adviced us the best wine of the area. We're definitely hoping to come back !

You can really feel the passion for the craftsmanship at this place. Stunning food, appetizers, pasta, meat and sweets. All packed in an attractive price and topped with a view to die for. Do visit this place.
