My wife and I had dinner our first night in Saint Aignan after a long journey from Texas. Being Friday night it was difficult finding a place that had an unreserved table. My wife and I each had what we thought was a Duck sausage salad, desert and shared a bottle of Rose. The salad was graced with Gorgonzola cheese, olives etc.,and topped with a type of sausage. Don't get me wrong: I don't do tripe!!! However, the sausage was made from pork tripe and herbs and was quiet good - not a hint of the twang associated with entrails. The waitress and the owner were helpful and friendly. The salad accompanied with desert was 19 euros and all of the wines were at least 22 euros. This, we thought was a little overpriced. We would recommend, just understanding the pricing. Larry & Kelly, Georgetown, TX

We ended up here twice when we couldn't find anywhere else that wasn't full. Not an exciting menu, but the salads are good and plentiful. The duck wasn't so great. Our waitress was charming but not terribly efficient, though all the staff was friendly.

We were asked to be quiet - at 8pm with 4 children in the group. What was more annoying was that the children weren't being noisy. Food was way overpriced, lukewarm and teeny portions. Sadly like many French restaurants this one lives on it's reputation rather than actually trying to be a nice place to have a good meal.

Ate here last night, as we didn't feel like traveling too far after a long day.
Menu is uninspiring, and we should have listened to our gut feel about the place. The decor is pleasant enough, the waitress was very friendly. However the food was very ordinary. Small serves, prawns not fresh, steak came out very rare even though we asked for well done (common problem in France, but one we've managed to overcome in many other establishments).
The dessert menu features about 8 choices - except that they're pretty much all ice cream. Not even a creme brulee or other french classic.

Bill came to more than the last 4 nights, all of which had better food. So especially considering the price/value relationship - I do NOT recommend this place, unless you have no other options.

We saw the restaurant in the square on a friday evening and we decided to eat there.

We sat our kids (17, 12, 11) outside, gave them money to order a coke and we went to have a little walk around the village during 10 min before eating.

When we came back we found our kids had been rudely thrown out by the waiter, with the argument that they could not have alcoholic drinks (they were ordering coke!). French people are not the most polite and charmant waiters, but this was really stupid!

Of course, we left without dining there...
