Abode in Heaven --- this is how its listed on the site and after spending a lovely 4 days in this cottage i cant think of any other words more apt than these.
The road right up-to the doorstep is paved and smooth which is a big plus.
There is a caretaker -- Kesar, who lives right next door and is one of the nicest people I've ever met. Always there to help you he does a very good job in maintaining the property. He deserves a special mention for the mouthwatering mutton and chicken he treated us to.
The local market is hardly a 5 minute drive and all your ration needs can be sourced locally. Kesar is kind enough to offer his services to bring the items needed.
Coming to the property, Manish has done it up in a very modern and contemporary style. The interiors along with the amenities on offer can match what any 5 star hotel chain has to offer.
No matter where you are in the cottage, you are always presented with a majestic view of the hills. If you're lucky enough you will be able to see the Himalayas as well.
The cottage offers complete peace and tranquility from the hectic city life.
People travelling with the kids have nothing to worry about as the cottage is kid friendly too. We were a group of 4 adults and 2 toddlers. The lower level has a very unique activity area as well.
What I found most amazing about the location of the cottage is that it is NOT overlooking any houses/market across the valley. So in the night all you see are the stars and the dark silhouette of the amazing hills.
I'd like to end the review, by saying that the view coupled with the silence in the air which is only broken by the sounds of hills is a perfect setting to enjoy that single malt you have in your bar.
