This place is known as Pisati Buruj and it is at the end of Westside. Buruj is intact and in much better condition. It offers you a good valley view. the path towards Buruj goes through the forest area and good way for a walk. Cars are not allowed till Buruj.

Initially one may get feel that the place is of a great historic importance, which it is. But not sure of it's archaeological value.

Indeed spell bound by the view.
Had to walk for over a kilometre on a tarmac road to get to the place.
Had to pass the space research centre and BSNL exchange en route.
A must go if you go to Panhala.
The view atop the watch tower is phenomenal, it gives you a 270 degree view of the west, the north and the east of the fort.
One can see the mountain ranges and passes in between, as well as the science city and farmlands on the opposite.
View radius is about 20km on a clear day.

Excellent viewing point on the top of the hill. The whole expanse of Kolhapur can be seen from here. It's generally very windy.

Note: it requires quite a walk and there are no lights on the way through a dirt track.

A good place to spend an evening. It is a long walk of about 20 minutes from the hotel, but very scenic. You can see the entire valley from here with the farms, small villages spread across the valley.
