A really Lovely cottage in a very quiet location but close to langholm. Nice river walk and good for spotting wildlife saw hare, heron, cormorants etc. Cottage is well fitted to high spec. Enjoyed every minute

“A beautiful, peaceful holiday”
Reviewed 25 August 2018 for a stay in August 2018

We came to the cottage with a young family and loved how peaceful and secluded the property was. The children were easy to wear out everyday with all the walks and fresh air right on the doorstep. The house was clean, tidy and well presented.
The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is because it could have been better set up for a comfortable stay. For example, there was not a bin bag, or a washing up sponge and the washing machine was broken which we weren't told (and it had wet towels in which I assume were for us). If we had been informed then I would have come better prepared and brought towels, which would have made all the difference with young children playing out in the rain daily.
So overall a wonderful place which would have been perfect with a couple of homely touches and a bit more communication.

Second visit to this great property which is set in a lovely location. A wonderful setting for a family xmas. Despite the cooker breaking down on 23rd December a new one was fitted on Christmas Eve, thanks to Christopher and Maxim who saved the day. Snowed in one day due to but walking in the area was very picturesque then back to the cottage for a warm up in front of the woodburner. We will definitely be back
