Outstanding holiday cottage. Can not fault anything. Set in beautiful surroundings . Stayed here last year and got married in Gretna Green and back this year for our first anniversary. . So in our opinion it can not be bettered.

“Beautiful Cottage”
Reviewed 25 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Having previously enjoyed a relaxing stay at the 2 bedroom cottage in May, our stay in this 3 bedroom cottage was equally enjoyable. The cottages have been beautifully renovated to a very high standard with very tasteful decoration & luxurious fixtures & fittings. The livingrooms & bedrooms are extremely comfortable and the bathrooms are both spacious & there is a plentiful supply of hot water at all times. The kitchens are very well equipped with everything you would need to prepare meals should you decide to self cater. Sky TV is a welcome addition should the weather be unkind. We enjoyed walking around the estate & the very peaceful location. Will definitely return & can highly recommend.

A lovely cottage, with 3 very large bedrooms and 2 super sized bathrooms, both with showers and baths. The cottage is very well presented, think of country homes and you will not be disappointed. The beds are extremely comfy, lots of space for clothes to be hung, and it was clean!
The wood burning stove in the living room complemented the overall theme. Plenty of room for teenagers, who also appriceted the wifi and sky package provided. The kitchen was large with all mod cons and came with a large dining table.
Walkable to Langholm for dinner and provisions, great location for the borders and Edinburgh (an hour drive).
Outside was not used, too cold, but the cottage was cosy and the free tot of whisky was welcome after a late night drive back from Dumfries.
Only one little moan is a cottage of this standard should have a welcome hamper, similar to unique home stays who provide a basket full of local treats. Having driven for over 5 hours, a few provisions would have been appriceted. I would pay extra for such a service.

Had a wonderful few days in this beautiful cottage. What a lovely place to visit. Cottage very cosy, comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. We had some good walks with our dog and we look forward to returning in the future.

“Delightful”
Reviewed 1 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We stayed with our daughter's family for a week and cannot fault any part of the experience.

On entering the front door we immediately felt at home. Everything has been thought of and delivered at the quality end of what you would expect

The beds were so comfortable, I've not slept that well for years, however it could be the stunning walks we took with the dogs, who were welcomed to stay in the kitchen and hall, which tired us out!!

The decor, equipment and location were all superb.

The patio is equipped with good size BBQ and charcoal!! Together with comfy garden furniture.

Very close to Langholm amenities with well stocked Co-op, yet isolated for a bit of rat race escapism

Only negative was the grass hadn't been cut, however it had been very wet so may have been just a timing issue

Don't go if you are looking for entertainment but if you simply want to hide, there cannot be many better places in the region
