“Stunning house and grounds for a family holiday”
Reviewed 23 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

We booked Middleholms to celebrate my mum's 60th (and two other family birthdays), and we could not have asked for more. The house is even bigger than it looks in the pictures and has everything you could want. We were a group of 11 adults and one baby, and all had plenty of room for group activities, or going off and doing our own things! The kitchen is very well stocked, and everything we could possibly have needed was to be found somewhere. We were fortunate to have amazing weather during our stay, so spent most of our time outside in the beautiful grounds, and made use of the BBQ for meals. The views surrounding the property are incredible! The converted barn with table tennis was used extensively, and the library has a great selection of books and games. We enjoyed a nice walk into town one day, and a small group of us even went paddling in the river, once we found the right spot! There was so much to do around the house and gardens we didn't really feel the need to venture too far over our long weekend.
David, the caretaker, was great. Really helpful and a great source of all the local knowledge.
A big thank you to Jane, and David, for helping us have an amazing holiday! We would all have no hesitation in recommending Middleholms, and can't wait to plan our next visit!

“The most perfect birthday present”
Reviewed 22 May 2017 for a stay in May 2017

We have just spent the most wonderful two days at Middleholms as a birthday gift from lovely friends. The six of us met at Middleholms on Thursday at lunch time and were treated to the most fantastic weather, scenery and true 5 star accommodation. The house is warm and welcoming with so much space yet still feels homely. The two days past in the blink of an eye with visits to the monument high above Langholm and also to the town itself both of which a a very short journey away. John and I along with our friends felt relaxed and refreshed which is exactly what we hoped for. Our visit was so fantastic, I am certain that this will not be the last time we stay at Middleholms. My congratulations to Jane T for creating such a high quality and relaxing haven.

“Couldn't Have Asked for More”
Reviewed 13 March 2015 for a stay in October 2014

Had a wonderful stay at Middleholms. So wonderful we have already booked again for this year. There were 9 of us staying and the house still felt enormous. Lots of space for us all to be together (or apart if we felt like it!!)
Extremely well equipped across the whole house, and particularly the kitchen. There was nothing we were left wanting for.
We had some chilly days, as it was winter, and the house was extremely warm and comfortable. The children loved the separate building housing the table tennis and another tv (as did we some days for a bit of peace!!!)
David, the housekeeper, was extremely helpful, before, during and after our stay.
All really looking forward to our return visit.
Couldn't recommend highly enough.
