“"On the wallaby" day tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 November 2011

Sid from on the wallaby tours picked us up from the hostel at 8:00am and we headed out on the windy road towards the tablelands. We had 3 opportunities to swim, informative walks in the rain forest, view stops, a picnic lunch, all the travel advice you could ask for with a super friendly and relaxed guide.

One of the first things Sid did was introduce himself to the group and then asked us all to tell a little bit about our travel in Australia. We quickly felt comfortable with everyone in the group and had a starting place for further conversations.

$99 per person with a discount for our 10 year old - we thought it was great value for a very full day ( returned to the hostel at 8:00pm). Did I mention that they handed out chocolate after one of the waterfall swims,... Thanks Sid!!

“Informative and Fun!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 September 2011

We had a great time with Cousin Paul (our guide from Uncle Brians) and he kept things very entertaining. We explored a bit of the rain forest and then headed through our journey of waterfalls. Despite the fact the water was freezing, the waterfalls were beautiful. Cousin Paul was a great tour guide! He had a lot of information on the local area and could explain anything from vegetation to Aboriginal legends. It was a fun tour and it kept us on our toes. Highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to explore Cairns to it's fullest!

“Uncle Brians - Best trip from Cairns!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 May 2011

I got this tour as part of a package deal that my friends booked so wasn't really sure what to expect. This ended up being one of the best tours I did from Cairns. The guides are so friendly and really make the effort to get to know everyone on the bus making it more personal. They take you to some really beautiful places in the tablelands giving lots of opportunities for swimming. The age range for the tour was quite young at around 18-25. Was a really fun tour though and would really recommend it.

“A Trip to Atherton Tablelands with Uncle Brians - Best Way to do it!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 May 2010

We did a full day trip to the Tablelands with a company called Uncle Brians which was fantastic, the guide was brilliant and made the whole day lots of fun even though it rained virtually all day. We visited several places including Babina Aussies wetest town, Babina Boulders, Josephine Falls (opportunity to swim and use the rock slide with guide supervision), Volcanic Crater Lake, Millaa Millaa Falls (The waterfall where Peter Andres Mysterious Girl and Herbal Essences advert were filmed, again opportunity to swim), they offer floating devices if you are not a confident swimmer, a free home cooked two course lunch is included which was brilliant and also afternoon snack of home baked muffins and hot choc with marshmellows, consumed whilst we were platypus spotting! A highly recommended way of seeing the tablelands!
