It was thanks to a rain situation that we moved away from the beach and came into this small town and opted to give a try about this restaurant , of which we heard some positive comments . A tiny ,well furnished , few tables restaurant , not far from the main square ,where from the moments we stepped in , we felt extremely well.
The two ladies supervising the dining room are exquisite ,polite and professional , they have the magical capacity to make customers feeling relaxed.
In the kitchen that is visible from dining room , three young persons are working in a serious and attentive manner.
The bread selection alone is deserving a bonus, so good that you can hardly resist to finish it. Amuse bouche incredible , capocollo, a warm focaccia filled with tomatos and burratta..yummy . Then a small slice of fresh fish lightly cooked and served with peas sauce..very good, we can feel that the love for cooking here is taken very seriously .
Then we got the starters , and it came that masterpiece that is already their signature dish a burrata raviolo filled with fresh prawns that I can never forget ( I can see that the inspiration is coming from Rubano but they made it even better...)
The other starter based on potato cooked to perfection and with local mushroom had a stronger ,less elegant, flavor.
Main courses are in my point of view, less balanced , the cod fish served with salmon roe eggs and peas a little confused , and the lamb ( oh my god how delicious was the meat ) served with confits olives and some coffee based sause a little over the top.
They deserve attention , they are good , very good, brave and young , once they will ffind the adequate balance , we will hear of them
In this part of Puglia one of the best option
