Everything about our holiday in this apartment went smoothly. From our arrival in the resort we felt at home. The property is very well decorated and equipped and has good views from the balconies and roof terrace.
The location is superb, a five minute walk takes you to the Cabanas boardwalk with its nearby shops and restaurants and beautiful views. The supermarket is only minutes away on foot, as is the nearest cash machine. Just across the road there is the cycle track on which you can walk all the way to Tavira - wonderful in the springtime with lots of birds and flowers. Also up the track around 10 minutes walk is the railway station for trains to Tavira or other towns and resorts along the coast. There is no need to hire a car in order to explore.
The apartment and the area were clean and peaceful - we had a very enjoyable week and would not hesitate to return. One surprise was the low cost of eating out. The kitchen was very well equipped but we didn't actually turn the cooker on!

The apartment is perfectly situated, within 5 minutes walk of Cabanas boardwalk where you will find a mixture of bars, cafe's and (excellent) restaurants. The apartment itself has wonderful views over Cabanas from the balcony but if you fancy an even better vantage point it has its own roof terrace, which is a massive sun trap that my other half loved! The apartment is spacious, clean and very homely, the kitchen is very well equipped, this, coupled with a BBQ on the balcony gives you options if you choose to cook for yourself. The owners have clearly spent a lot of money on appliances and decor. All rooms are air conditioned and very comfortable. The apartment looks over the communal pool which was a godsend for cooling off and of a nice size. Cabanas is a quiet place that seems to attract Portuguese holidaymakers, everyone is friendly and very welcoming, particularly in the wide range of restaurants the village offers. Don't be put off by the boat over the estuary to the beach, it's well worth the effort, we went back for 5 days of our trip. We hired a car, but its not really necessary as the train runs from Faro into Conceicao which is only a ten minute walk to the apartment. We will definitely be returning in the years to come. It was a relaxing week in a very comfortable apartment.
