“First-class accommodation in beautiful location.”
Reviewed 5 January 2016 for a stay in December 2015

Every conceivable comfort catered for. High standard of accommodation, warm and spotless. Tastefully decorated for the festive season. Alison and Gary gave us the warmest of welcomes, and were available should there be anything else we required. There were many additional extras to ensure our stay was enjoyable, even Christmas gifts. We enjoyed our Christmas week in The Byre enormously, and cannot recommend it highly enough.

“A REAL GEM IN THE COTSWOLDS”
Reviewed 15 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

I booked this quite last minute thru airbnb. Even though the airbnb app kept putting in the wrong dates communication with Alison the owner sorted this out with no problem.
Alison responded to my emails & texts promptly.
The apartment was just as seen in the photos spotlessly clean warm & welcoming. As stated by other reviews Alison provide a welcome pack of tea coffee sugar bread butter milk & chocolates which is over & above her obligation but was so kind & thoughtful. Towels all linen & loo rolls are provided.
Alison was really so accommodating & both her & Gary were extremely helpful.
The setting is just beautiful & peaceful and we wouldn't hesitate to book The Byre again. In fact we have already passed on the details to various friends & family.
We are so glad we found this true gem in the beautiful Cotswolds!
Thank you Gary & Alison

“Wonderful stay”
Reviewed 2 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

I can't recommend this place enough! We had such a lovely stay at the Byre, the apartment is done to a very high spec and the setting is just beautiful - watching the sunset with a glass of wine on the private patio was a particular highlight.

Alison is lovely and accommodating - the perfect host. We didn't take a car so she gave us local taxi numbers and directions to local points of interest and checked up on us to make sure we hadn't got lost! If you aren't taking a car make sure to book ahead for taxis.

We enjoyed navigating the area by foot but if you find walking long distances hard, or want to explore a bit more of the Cotswolds, I would recommend driving. In the 4 days we were there, we walked to Broadway, Chipping Campden, Dovers Hill amongst others. It was our first trip to the Cotswolds and we'll definitely be coming back.

Hi Ellie

Thanks for your lovely review. It was a real pleasure to have you both stay here - I often worry when guests arrive without a car as we are a bit off the beaten track with the nearest pub and shop about a mile and a half away across the fields. For some people that's a bit of a shock, for others they just want to rest and relax and the upside of being a bit away from the world is its peaceful and quiet here so that suits them.

Occasionally tho we have guests like you who take the distance (literally!) in their stride and just get out and give it a go. You were a joy to host - you got into the spirit of the countryside and walked all over the place, seeing things from a totally different perspective to car drivers, and always looked and sounded like you were having a great time.

I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay and I'd love to see you back again in the future. You reminded me what life's about and how lucky I am to live in such a wonderful place!

“Beautiful home from home”
Reviewed 10 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

My wife and I just returned from 5 wonderful nights stay here. Comms with Alison and Garry were first class, the property is even better than described and the location is out-of-this-world. Immaculately clean, fantastic local resources at your fingertips and wonderful opportunities to explore the stunning Cotswolds. Cannot recommend highly enough and will definitely look to re-book here again in the near future. Take plenty of bread as Alison's sheep love to eat straight from your hand!

“Amazing scenery and fantastic host”
Reviewed 10 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

My husband, myself and our daughter stayed here for 3 amazing nights and 4 days. Alison and Gary were very accommodating and very nice people. The apartment was very clean and attention to detail (little bag of buttons in the fridge for our little monkey) was outstanding. Weather was glorious during our stay which provided a great opportunity to explore the local attractions and grounds of the farm. Would definitely recommend it and would love to go back again. Couldn't ask for more from a holiday. Only thing that I would complain about is that we had to leave!
