Our family stayed here for Father's Day and it was perfect. We were blessed with the finest weather Yorkshire can offer. Liz and Danny were welcoming yet unobtrusive. We had everything we needed and would definitely return. Thank you for a lovely stay.

“Beautiful accommodation in superb location”
Reviewed 14 January 2017 for a stay in January 2017

We stayed at beacon view with elderly relatives and our Labrador. The barn was perfect for all our needs. It was great having a downstairs bedroom and ensuite for the older members. As a previous guest called it 'the dog room' or boot room was so useful as this time of year our walks involved a fair bit of mud. We have stayed in premier cottages before and found them always good and reliable.....this was the best. The location was just fantastic for walks costal and countryside, lovely dog friendly pubs.
The whole atmosphere of the place is really magical. I agree with all the other reviewers, Liz and Danny go the extra mile which makes such a difference. We hope to return

Thank you very much for that glowing report:-) I am so glad you found Beacon View to be just right for all your needs with elderly parents and Stan the Lab. Yes we have to agree that this is a stunning location with a huge amount of diversity in countryside between the coast, moors, forests and dales and very friendly village communities too. You've seen the winter here the other seasons are spectacular too. Danny and I do hope you will return. Happy New Year to you all. Liz

“Stunning barn conversion - perfect for a winter break.”
Reviewed 31 December 2016 for a stay in December 2016

We spent a week here and have already rebooked for next year! The barn is gorgeous - fabulous high ceiling in the sitting room, sumptuous bathrooms (the sound system plays in the upstairs bathroom!), luxurious beds and a spotlessly clean kitchen. There's an enormous dining table which was perfect for Christmas dinner and board games and the house has underfloor heating so it was cozy and warm the whole time.
We visited at Christmas and Liz and Danny decorated the cottage including a 20ft high Christmas tree - absolutely magical!
We took our mini dachshund - the house makes it very easy. There's a "dog room" (probably not called that but it's what we called it!) at the entrance where we could wash him in the huge sink after every walk and leave him to dry before letting him into the main house. There were even dog towels provided.
Walks round the area were stunning and you can walk straight from the house. Easy to reach the coast - places like Staithes well worth a visit.
We would wholeheartedly recommend Beacon View Barn Cottage.

You are right this is a magical place and in the heart of the beautiful North York Moors National Park to boot. We are delighted that we will be welcoming you back in 2017. “Outstanding barn conversion with beautiful views !!!”
Reviewed 12 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Beacon View exceeded our expectations. Such a lovely place to stay in. It was very well equipped with everything you would need and more... One of our party was elderly with mobility problems, so we found the downstairs bedroom with ensuite ideal. The weather was kind to us and we spent a lot of the time sitting outside in the private garden, taking in the breathtaking views. The location is in a very secluded area so is very quiet and peaceful.
The owners Danny and Liz made us feel very welcome from the start ,and nothing was too much trouble for them. Would definitely recommend Beacon View if you want a 5 star property in a outstanding location.....

“Lovely house, excellent location, helpful owners - we loved it!”
Reviewed 13 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Beacon View is a lovely barn conversion, sympathetically restored from the stables that were there before. Inside, it is well equipped and furnished, everything is provided for your comfort and entertainment. Outside there is a large covered yard / open sided barn, provided with a table, chairs and barbecue. Great for breakfasting while taking in the lovely view, or having an evening drink while watching the more competitive in your party having a not so gentle game of croquet

This was our second visit to Beacon View and certainly won't be our last. We were shown around the other Barn which has been converted since our last visit. It too is beautifully done and maybe we will try that next time - soon we hope!
