Chris and Julie are really lovely and so is their son (didn't get to meet their daughter) and their two very soft dogs. They very kindly gave my husband a birthday card and present on his birthday!

Rooms are very clean and nicely laid out and good décor.

The views are stunning and there are rabbits all over, little baby ones were frequently outside our room having a munch on something they found in the fields. The pigs and the goats are utterly adorable.

Fairly easy 20/25 minute walk to River Cottage, we never walked it in the dark as we managed to share a taxi with another couple staying at the B&B.

Breakfast is lovely and way too much! Bread rolls were gorgeous.

If you're not up to doing much one evening there is a pub just down the road which had good pub food and wifi.

I would stay again if we were down that way.

I booked this B&B as part of a birthday weekend for my partner as i was taking him to River Cottage. Perfect location for the visit, we used a taxi to take us although in the summer it is a very easy walk.

We stayed in room 3 which had its own veranda to sit out in. The rooms are separate to the house and so very peaceful. We had a lovely peaceful walk in the fields down to the fishing lake.
The nights sleep was so quiet and lovely warm, the best nights sleep for quite some time!

The following morning we had breakfast out in the sunshine looking out over the fields. I can genuinely not describe the breakfast, it was GORGEOUS! it arrived in a hamper with warm croissants, warm bread rolls, hot sausages, cereals, milk, juice, bread for toast, cheese, cold meat, yogurts, fruit! This really set us up for the rest of the day.

The hosts were friendly and welcoming from the second we arrived to the moment we left and nothing was too much bother.

I cant say enough nice things about this B&B, we have already started planning our next trip and would seriously recommend this place to others!!

We had a lovely stay at Hunterscroft, relaxing walks in their fields and through their woodland a wonderful breakfast hamper and lovely people. It was a short walk to River Cottage HQ (take a torch as it is a fairly narrow fast lane to get there) so perfectly situated if you have booked dinner or an event there, and a very quick drive down the hill into Lyme Regis. Each room feels private so you never feel you are imposing on other guests or the family. I would heartily recommend.

Room tip: Ask for the room with a deck. They all have access to the shared area, but one steps right out onto the deck with a view across the fields.

Stayed here one night for our visit to River Cottage HQ. Cannot fault, the room was very clean, the owners very friendly and a breakfast to die for. The B&B is ideally located if you are visiting Rive Cottage as it was0 either a twenty minute walk or a short taxi ride.

Unusual format for a b&b which really suited our family. The family room is lovely, spacious, bright, fresh and clean. Really unexpected as you pull off the main road.

The rooms are in a separate building behind the owners house, surrounded by decking overlooking rolling fields. The owners were very nice to our children and suggested they could go on their trampoline in one of the fields to burn off some energy after a long car journey. They also told us we could walk down to their carp lake and feed the fish if we wanted to stretch our legs.

Breakfast was delivered in a hamper to our room, great selection of yogurt, cereal, fruit, croissants nicely warmed and freshly looked sausages included. There is a dining table in the room as well as a kettle and toaster. Much more relaxed than a normal B&B, we had breakfast in pyjamas.
