We spent a week at Princes Islands Luxury Residence in the 1 bedroom flat. It is the best equipped holiday flat I have stayed in and works for a family of 4. The very friendly owners have thought of everything to make our stay as straight forward as possible (washing machine, toaster, kettle, hairdryer, lots of storage and hanging space, dishwasher, microwave...) The cleaner comes everyday and keeps the place spotless. The pools are fantastic with lots of sunloungers in the sun or shade and also very clean and so are the barbecue areas. The views are breathtaking and the residence is a 10 minute walk from Nidri centre, which has something for everyone. It is a shame however that the Nidri area is quite littered, although of course, that's nothing to do with this residence but in fact it contrasts with it. The Greeks don't seem to have pride in their surroundings and beautiful island... The residence isn't ideally placed for the use of Horizon Watersports, which is also fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place!
Tucked away off the relief road at the rear of Nidri Town. Overlooking the town (15 min walk away) and beyond onto the range of islands. An ideal base for exploring the island, serious sunbathing or just chilling by the pool. The morning sunrise is amazing. Having holiday'd in Nidri on multiple occasions over the past 26 years this was truly a blissful experience that my wife, daughter and I didn't want to end.
Thank you Kyriakos and family.
We went to Princes’ Island Luxury Apartments in August with 2 kids. To make it short: There is nothing that could be better. You have breathtaking views, much more than the usual „sea view“. Here you see: the coastline, villages, islands and behind the mainland with higher mountains. The landscape is green, which gives a similar impression to northern Italian or Swiss lakes, but the intensive colors makes it truly Greek and unique.. Very beautiful, relaxing and healing. If you care for views, as I do, than do not hesitate.
Everything else is also perfect. The apartments have a high standard. You’ll find more than you might ever need in a holiday. The bathroom appliances were made by hansgrohe, Germany, just to give you an example how they care for quality. We found more coffee making equipment than we have at home.
The apartments are absolutely private. Nobody can see you on the balcony from anywhere. The pool is shared but was always very quiet.
We tried the barbecue place. I’ve been to a lot of other places, that offer BBQ, where there was a grill, a table and four chairs and than you spent 30 € in a shop for equipment. Here you have everything waiting to be used. Just buy the meat (ask the landlord, before) and enjoy your meal.
The owner cares a lot if you have any questions or need help.
We stayed at Princes' Islands Luxury Residences for our second week of 2 week holiday Jul / Aug. First week we chartered a yacht with Nisos Yachting (seprate 5* report).
Stayed at Princes' Island as 3 families (each with 2 adults and 2 teens). Worked perfectly as we all had our own (identical) apartments so enough family privacy but great for the kids to meet up and spend time in the 2 pools etc.
The apartments are spotless, new, modern and have all the gadgets and appliances you need - washing machine, dishwasher, aircon, cable TV and even a Nescafe Dulce Gusto coffee machine. wifi present but a bit variable in quality to be honest. 2 nice and clean pools with adequate sun umbrellas and sun loungers.
Our host Kyriakos was brilliant from initial contact through to departure. Only 1 key provided and the type that you insert inside the door to keep the electrics going. As the doors lock on exiting we managed to lock ourselves out at about 12:30am - called Kyriakos who was there 10 mins later to let us in. As a suggestion it would be better if they provided 2 keys per apartment to avoid this.
We visited some lovely spots on Lefkada - Kathisma beach (organised), Ag Nikitas (swim around headland to great deserted beach). Had a couple of days of water sports with Horizon in Nidri (recommended) and rented some small motor boats in town to explore beaches and coves. Went for lunch at Errikos in Vathi, Meganisi which was simply the best restaurant all holiday.
All in all highly recommended !
This small apartment complex is absolutely stunning, just up on the lower hillside, with everything that you could want. The views are breathtaking, looking out onto the sea ahead with all the small islands and the backdrop of mountains either side. Our 2 bedroom apartment was very spacious (we were 6 adults) and comfortable with lovely balconies overlooking very well kept gardens and pools. Nidri town is a 10-15 minute walk away and is a friendly, bustling place with lots of waterside restaurants and shops. It is a bit of a climb back up to the apartments but we managed easily without a car and two of us are in our 60's. The locals provided that wonderful Greek welcome that has been lost in many places. Kyriakos and his wife were wonderful, welcoming and always helpful. We all had the best holiday and hope to return.
