Wow Wow Wow can this young lady bake! the blueberry and lemon cake was out of this world. Beautiful outside seating area amongst the fuschias. Lovely indoor cafe with a shop area. I wanted to buy lots of lovely things but we were travelling with panniers cycling 100 miles each day so I didn't think that was wise. A real treat of a café 10 out of 10.

Thank you for your review, I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy your experience at The Stable Yard, however, I do try to bake my cakes fresh every day on site. I’ve seen that you’ve also reviewed 23 other places along the Northumbrian coast on the same day also giving them 1 star reviews. I do hope if you return to the North East we can all do better.

Stopped for lunch after my wife found this on TripAdvisor and not disappointed. Lovely sandwiches, beautiful home made Sausage Rolls and the Lemon and Blelueberry Sponge Cake was perfect.

The Stable Yard is a lovely tea room in a pretty, peaceful setting with the added bonus of plants for sale. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the food fresh and delicious and very reasonably priced. The sausage rolls with apple are the best I've tasted. Very good selection of sandwiches and delicious cakes.
Dogs are welcome and it's a lot easier to find a seat than going into Craster itself which is always crowded.
