Stayed 3 Nights – One of 5 or 6 hotel options on Mushroom Beach, which is in a nice secluded bay. This hotel isn’t directly on the beach, as are the others, but this is reflected in the price (about half). Having said that, it is a 10m walk back, and there are beach, and ocean views from both the pools. Our room was the Ocean View 1 Room, Ocean view was a bit of a stretch but the room was clean, with A/C, and a good bathroom.
They arranged a great snorkeling trip, and rented us a motorbike for half a day, at really good prices.

The breakfast (included) and lunch food was good, and excellent value, but we preferred to eat directly on the beachfront for dinner. The other restaurants were a couple of minutes walk down the beach.

The staff were really friendly, and we would recommend this hotel for both couples and families.

Room Tip: The suites are closer to the pool, but don't have the ocean view. Having said that, the view really isn't much, we spent most of our time by the pool.

We moved here after staying at the main beach, Jungutbatu for 2 nights. The Tanis Villas were absolutely beautiful with really nice bathrooms, many of which were open-air. We decided to stay in one of the upstairs Ocean-View rooms which was great, but could have been a bit cleaner.

On arrival, the towels were filthy and the bed linen was also stained. Towels were promptly replaced as requested, however the bed sheets had simply been rotated so the dirty bits were at the bottom, under the blankets!! Unfortunately we had a rat running around in the wooden roof at night which made us a bit uncomfortable but the staff had tried to find it but were unsuccessful in doing so, so we just put up with it for our 4 nights.

The resort was lovely with 2 decent-sized pools set within a lovely well-kept garden. We enjoyed eating breakfast which was included in the room price and often had lunch there. There was a nice selection of food on the menu and the food was lovely, apart from the mouldy bread we were given one morning at breakfast!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, apart from all the little problems and the staff made our stay very enjoyable. Would definitely go back!

We wanted a relaxing and low key break from mainland Bali and having stayed on Nusa Lembongan 15 years ago, it was an easy decision. The only available place we could find and that was recommended was Tanis Villa. Whilst, Nusa Lembongan has changed significantly in the last 15 years (all of Mushroom Bay has a property on it and the bay is full of boats...not so good), Tanis Villa offered mid range traditional accommodation. It's owned, run and staffed by locals which is a great plus and they immediately help you get into the relaxed swing of the island. It was excellent value for money and for our A$800 we stayed 7 nights, all breakfasts, most dinners, a couple of cocktails each day, a village tour, hire of mbikes for an afternoon and a fishing trip. We'd certainly go back again but, will shower mid to late afternoon in order to get some warm water to wash in......apparently the hot water system wasn't working when we were there but, we coped regardless. ENJOY!

Room Tip: Ask to stay in a Villa

We have just returned from 5 nights at Tanis Villa's.
The location is fantastic, on the beach at Mushroom beach. Walking distance to other restaurants along the beachfront as well.
The rooms are very clean and comfortable. There are some parts of the room such as the bathroom which are outdoor bathrooms (in the family rooms) which are showing signs of age due to the exposure to the elements however overall they did the job, hot water, toilet and handbasin. The towels were a little old but again did the job of drying us off.
The beds are comfortable we had a king size bed, the linen was nice on the bed, relatively new sheets.
Aircond rooms - although ours did decide not to work on the final evening this didn't matter as it still had a overhead fan and it wasn't stinking hot anyway.
The restaurant at Tanis was great, the food was great quality. Breakfast was included and sufficient with options of pancakes, bacon and eggs, toast/pastries, omelettes etc.
The pools at Tanis are fantastic, plenty of deck chairs and there are two pools which are very clean and the water temp is cool and refreshing.
I would recommend Tanis to people who are wanting to experience Nusa Lembongan and stay in comfortable accommodation without breaking the bank!.
