I spent two single nights here, and on both occasions I was unable to get a decent night sleep due to noise in and around the hotel. The restaurant food was very nice, and the prices reasonable. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful. It's obviously not a new hotel, but the rooms were clean and large enough.
It's not far from the airport, and close to the beach.

Booked a Deluxe Ocean View Hotel Room with a 'Queen Bed.' The Queen bed was two single beds pushed together. The rooms need a good clean.
The location is amazing and the hotel areas outside of the rooms are nice. If they had actual Queen beds and the room had a good clean I think we would have been happy.
Over three weeks since we've been and they are still holding our security deposit, when we called them last week they said it was strange and they will contact the bank... still waiting.

Thanks for your recent feedback. The bedding configuration you describe is correct, and is very common in hotels, as it allows flexibility. The beds are not just pushed together, but rather zipped and function as a King bed.
I believe the team has contacted your bank to have your pre-authorization released.

Family of 4 with 2 teenagers, 2 bedroom apartment, very spacious , good facilities both in room and resort
But, we had apartment facing onto road, v noisy! Request room NOT facing into road
Other than noisy room facilities ect lovely
We also had meal in bistro- good family style eating

Booked over 3 months ago but unfortunately on a Groupon deal and here was my downfall ... your booking is viewed as the lowest of low when it's a "deal". After twice requesting a "high floor room" (including verbally the day before), I was mortified to be led to what is possibly the worst located room I have ever stayed in anywhere in the world (over 250 hotels). Whilst the 2 bed apartment was relatively clean and renovated with large living and main bed, it had a delightful (not) view of the driveway, was over the electric gate to the underground carpark (which you hear every time it opens), is on the highway, faces the blazing western sun AND adding to that, the property is directly opposite the airport, so the planes taking off (often til nearly 11pm) was deafening! This is all with the glass doors firmly closed and pathetic air conditioning unit blasting (it also made horrific noises and rattles and is barely adequate to cool 3 western facing rooms). After asking if there was ANY other room available, I was told "no we're fully booked". What annoys me most is that I booked so long ago - but that is not taken into account at all. It was also the wheelchair accessible room, which is normally used as the absolute last choice. After two near-sleepless nights, I finally got moved (after pleading and thankfully a more compassionate reception person than the lady at check-in) to a delightful high floor room facing the ocean for the last night. The sound of the ocean was the only thing that calmed me down. So don't think a deal purchase is going to get you the best view in the house - pay for that elusive ocean view or take your earplugs and portable fan.

In relation to the Groupon deal that was offered, it was listed that the rooms were not ocean facing, so I am sorry if you misinterpreted this. The room was one of our accessible rooms, but does have two bathrooms, one of which is wheelchair friendly.

Great trip to Surfair again!
Great weather, great location and wonderful views of the ocean made for a great trip to Marcoola for Easter with the family.
Between, bike rides to marcoola beach and Mudjimba, playing in the pool, surfing and swimming at the beach it has been an awesome Easter! Kids had a great time, the resort looked great and the restaurant was great for breakfast, coffee and dinner!
