Visited with my husband for dinner whilst on holiday - friendly welcome in a cosy setting. We had the fish and chips and boar sausages and mash - both excellent. The Oreo cheesecake wasn’t at all cheesecakey but absolutely delicious all the same. All the food was presented beautifully- great attention to detail. Cost was very reasonable. Would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed another top notch meal at our local today. We were both tempted by the fish offering on the Specials menu and we were not disappointed! The John Dory was pan fried and served with king prawns and mussels in a creamy dill sauce, braised cucumber and with hand cut chips (I think that was how it was described ~ it was yummy anyway). A good bottle of wine and a cheeky chocolate dessert completed the meal. I do recommend The White Horse Inn to visitors but you will need to book at busy times.

my wife and I have just had our first meal at the The White Horse Inn , hopefully not the last.we had for starters , wild boar salami and garlic mushrooms both very tasty. The mains were outstanding , wild boar burger with bacon (extra thick) melted cheese, gherkin, tomato, bun with garlic butter , 3 onion rings, hand cut chips and chutney , the burger was at least an inch thick , moist and very tasty. Steak and ale pie with creamed leeks inside! beautiful crispy shortcut pastry . Portion sizes were large including piping hot veg.The staff were very polite and friendly , service excellent , it was wednesday evening so not fully occupied. We were too full for desert but saw some come to other diners and looked great.
A very pleasant and tasty meal , would highly recommend
