We had a very Nice evening here. The food is extremely good and the place is beautiful and cosy. A hidden pearl in the area!

What an absolutely wonderful place! I've just eaten the best pasta ever. How can you make a simple mushroom tagliatelle taste so good? I don't know but they clearly do! Buttery with just a hint of tarragon and the most wonderful mix of local mushrooms - heaven!

We happened upon this restaurant on a rainy day while perusing the Strada del Prosecco. An otherwise gloomy day, our lunch here was a VERY PLEASANT EXPERIENCE. The warm welcome by Roberta, the log fire ablaze, a nicely-set table in a cozy spot next to a wood burning stove all contributed to setting the stage for what was to follow.

We particularly like places that tell us what is available a particular day. Roberta informed us of our options for the day, all extremely inviting. We opted for all three of the wonderful sounding starters followed by a steak (local meat) cooked perfectly on the hot coals of the fire. We enjoyed an excellent local house wine of Cabernet Franc.

The Caponata, Ragusa style, was the best we have ever had, the local beans with the Treviso radicchio was an interesting flavor and texture combination, the excellent local sorpressata was from an artisanal butcher. These three starters were just as good as they sounded - absolutely delicious.

A fun touch was the platter of various specialty salts for the steak. We tried several on one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. The steak was so inviting when it came right off the hot coals to our table, that I forgot to take a photo.

Being innkeepers in Umbria, we mostly travel off-season. When we are fortunate enough to happen upon inviting/comforting places like Biss Badaliss, we don't mind at all the sometimes gloomy weather and the lack of hubbub. In this case, it gave us a wonderful chance to chat with Roberta and Fulvio (the cook). We loved hearing about his experiences in New York at Babbo Restaurant and in Berlin.

While we resisted ordering dessert, Roberta kindly brought us some appealing homemade almond cookies - a gesture we greatly appreciated - to enjoy along with an espresso as we thoroughly enjoyed talking with both Roberta and Fulvio.

Biss Badaliss is NOT TO BE MISSED when in this beautiful Prosecco Road area.

We had the pleasure of dinning here for dinner and all the food was delicious and especially the caponata antipasti, which was the best we've ever had anywhere in Italy. The service was excellent and we would highly recommend dining here.

we arrived for lunch with a party of 4 while driving on the prosecco-highway. The restaurant was empty (although it was a friday) and a table was set on the balcony. There was no Menu card. The service did not speak English, but a little german and she tried to explain what options there were for lunch. As non of us is native-german it was difficult to decide. No flexibility was shown for asked options of sides. The prosecco served (compared to the ones we tasted during the morning) was disappointing. The food was ok, but lacked love and passion.

While trying to pay we were surprised that it was not possible to pay by card ("that is not mandatory to offer in Italy" was the reaction from the staff) and as this is not a cheap place we had to strap our last coins together to pay the bill. Unbelievable for a restaurant in a tourist area not to offer card-payments.
