If you are looking for authentic Italian food in Santa Ana or San Jose in general I recommend this as place as your next stop. This time, we visited them for a special event, the Visa Infinite Dining Series, which included a 5-course testing menu. You could tell the passion and dedication put into each dish, enhancing each flavor carefully and with purpose. Truly an amazing experience where the Chef (also the owner) greeted us at the table and explained every dish. The first dish was a Tomato worship experience, who could tell Tomato jelly would taste so good? Second dish was an Octopus polenta, tender and cooked to perfection. Third dish was a Pumpkin Ravioli in Italian cheese sauce, the sweet and sour flavors together was a hit. Four dish was fish cooked covered in salt was impressive and Fifth and last tiramisu "margarita" was a transformation of a classic Italian favorite with a perfect Italian cannoli. I look forward to my next visit to Andiamo La. in the pictures you will see me with my mother, whom I wanted to share this great experience with. Boy! We really enjoyed ourselves very much.

Nice setting with good italian food, offers fresh made pasta as well as commercial pasta and has a good wine cellar with high level wines.

Although it is very expensive, the food is amazing and the atmosphere is very cosy and welcoming. The staff is great and the selection is thorough. Ask for a Tanqueray Tonic and they'll give you great options for a twist! Also, the best platter is the "Mar y Tierra" which is not on the menu, a must!

The positive: impressive design and area, great menu with diverse selections, cool bar area, great for large groups. The negative: very expensive, horrible service, food didn't arrive at the same time nor was it hot. I had gnocchi with shrimp which was around $22, but came out room temp and after everyone else had their food for several minutes. I had to ask for my water to be filled 3 times by an arrogant waiter. Everyone said their food was room temp. Presentation was beautiful, portions were better than average, great alcohol and dessert selection. They serve decent pizza too. The atmosphere alone is worth going!!! I have never seen such a beautiful restaurant, BUT, no A/C! I would give it another chance! FYI- they have octopus and baby lobster on the menu if you're into that. Plan on the most expensive meal though.
