This hotel is quite modern hotel in Shirahama, and the service is so nice, the front desk girl helped check in, carry the luggage and show the room. Inside the room there was a private onsen pool, no need to go out for spa. The breakfast was also good.

The hotel is a little hard to locate but once we headed up the slope and entered the hotel lobby, we knew that it was going to be a good stay. The room was really large and spacious with all the necessary amenities. There were both indoor and outdoor onsens and the outdoor one was quite large. And as it was mikan season, there was a bag of mikans in a smaller pool to add some fragrance to it. The only drawback is there is no view from the onsen of the lovely beach (the private indoor ones fave the sea and I suspect will have a nice view). Breakfast was a wonderful buffet spread. And there was of course Japanese hospitality and service that is expected in Japan. Wonderful stay.

This hotel just reopened in July under the Marriott brand. Hence it was not fully occupied but the staff were pleasant and helpful. The hotel has an onsen in the 11th floor and it is a nice and clean onsen with outside onsen overlooking the city/beach. It is also neat to the Saki no Yu onsen which one can walk there. A great hotel. I will consider staying there again.

Just stayed at this new hotel for 1 night, I must say it's the best hot spring resort in West Japan!
Enjoyed Japanese-Western style spacious room and rooftop hot spring. I personally recommend taking a bath there in the morning. You'll see panoramic ocean view with blue sky.
Breakfast was also fantastic, wanted to eat more...
The selection of on-site gift shop was great too, many local crafts & snacks fascinated me a lot.
Last but not least, I felt warm welcome from all hotel staff.

Definitely would love to come back again, still got so many to see in & out of the hotel!

I booked this hotel to get away from the city for a few days. I got a room on the 10th floor with my own Onsen, which was nice. However, the decor of the hotel in general is just not cosy, nor luxurious. You quite a premium price for this hotel and I don't think you get value for money. The restaurant is bad and super overpriced. You have to pay for bikes, which quite often is complementary. The bar is in the lobby, and horrible drinks.
The main good things about the hotel: the location by the beach and the staff. The staff may not be as refined and trained as at other high end hotels (well the hotel is priced as high end but isn't), but they really did their best and super nice.
Gym is bad. Pool is nice.
