We spent a week skiing at Club Med Tomamu with our 10- and 12-year-old kids. The snow was amazing, and there are a lot of slopes to choose from.
The rooms are modern, cozy and functional, the food is unbelievably good, and all the staff are very friendly and helpful at all times.
We are ski beginners and found the ski instructors to be excellent. Special shout-out to Sophie, who taught us most of the time. She managed to create a really nice bond among us students, which made it all the more fun, as we all supported and helped each other out and cheered each other on. She found just the right balance of making us feel safe while also challenging us to move out of our comfort zones and progress in our skills.
We also really enjoyed our lessons with Guy, Daniel, Johann and Erik, all of whom were super friendly, relaxed, competent and very patient teachers. Their passion for skiing is contagious.
The kids had private lessons with Natalie and Marko and were raving about them as well, so if you are headed to the Club before this season ends, we can recommend all of the above warmly.
Our freshly minted 12-year-old "teen" (mini club is only for up to 11-year-olds) had a great time in the teenie club with Christian and Nino, and it really was an added bonus that the teens had their own group to hang out with.
The hotel itself has no pool, but there is a big sort of water park that you can access for free just across the road. It has a number of hot spas and a huge wave pool, and the kids loved it.
To sum up, we cannot recommend the Club highly enough for families who enjoy a holiday in the snow.
Keep up the great work and spirit, Club Med and Eric (chef de village), and thanks for another great holiday. We will be be back in 2024 for sure.
