Beds are comfortable (the bunk beds are pretty hard though). Mark and his team were so helpful and made everything easy. the place was light and quite spacious for japanese standards. would thoroughly recommend (even if on the very pricey side!)
Been meaning to review this so ...we stayed a family of five in Nozawa Cottage late Jan early Feb and this place is amazing. Very comfortable ,modern home , bigger than it looks , could easily have slept a few more . Has everything you need , drying room and ski storage , laundry comfy lounge with great views in fact fabulous views of the slopes from the front of the house , and over the village from the back of the house. Every thing you need is within walking distance . Walk across the road , a distance of 4 metres and ski down the hill to the lifts in the morning and ski stright to the house when you have finished for the day. Lots of restaurants within walking distance . The owner Mark has other properties in Nozawa and can supply ski hire , change money and even sorted us out with a car for a day while we were there , Nozawa is an easy drive to other resorts in the area and the "snow monkeys " , which is a great way to spend a day. Would go back in a flash . It would be a great house for a group of friends , or as a family trip . Getting to Nozawa from Tokyo is a trip in itself , from the main Tokyo station to the Bullet Train , the kids had a ball.
