Staying here on recommendation. Great place! Open fire, soaring ceilings, helpful staff, onsen, ski shop next door, free shuttle bus, rooms ok.

All in all a tick! Be great if Onsens were mixed! I’d much rather see a few nude Japanese ladies than old ball sacks any day ;)

Couldn't get a better location. Hotel staff were lovely and more then happy to help. Rooms were a bit small but had everything we needed and very comfortable beds! Walls were very thin so could hear everyone in the hall. Overall a good stay!

This hotel was the perfect place to stay on my first trip to Hakuba. Staff are friendly and very helpful and speak good English. It is a short 10 walk to the ski lift and the bus stop is right out the front of the hotel which takes you to the other ski fields. Perfect location across the road from Rhythm which has great coffee and a bacon and egg hut. Buffet breakfasts were great with a large variety of western and Japanese foods. Rooms were better than expected. We knew coming into the trip that rooms in Japan are small so i was expecting worse. The only issue we had was the beds were too big for the room. There were two king singles pushed together and another two separate king singles (we had two couples in the one room). We would have been happy enough with two double beds and then there would have been more room to put our bags. One thing I would suggest to the hotel is that they put more hooks around the room to hang towels and ski clothing.
The private bus was great as you could book it in to take you to dinner anywhere in Wadano, Happo, Echoland etc and then ask the restaurant you are in to call Mominoki and the bus would come and pick you up and take you back to the hotel. The drivers were so nice and fun playing western music with a disco ball and flashing lights.
The onsen was amazing. It was my first time in an onsen and it was beautiful and clean.
Will definitely be back to Hakuba and Mominoki Hotel.

Stayed as 2 families after Chinese New Year.
We are a family of 3 and stayed in the new block on the 3rd floor. The other family stayed in the main block.

Room is generally fine. Typical average size, had 2 single beds, and a balcony, facing the main car park area. The style is a bit old but adequate.

We stayed at the La Neige last year which was definitely a higher end experience as there was much more service provided.

Things to note:
1) No shuttle to the slopes. You either walk to Kokusai or you take the resort buses outside the car park entrance. I did not realize this at the time of booking.
2) Lots of restaurants at the hotel. Onsen on site which was great.
3) Breakfast food is decent. Dinners at the shabushabu place and the izakaya are both very good and very reasonably priced.
4) Lockers available, no ski valet.

Room Tip: new block facing the car park is decent. Good view. I didn't find it noisy.

The location is perfect with the lifts a short walk away, food is great although the buffet breakfast gets a bit old after a few days, would be great to see some avocado for breakfast. It was still very nice.
Hotel staff are just great and always willing to help out. The shuttle bus service is great for getting around and at night it's a god send to just call up and have the bus come pick you up.

Only down side is that the rooms don't seem to get warm! Same as last visit it's like the heating just can't heat up the rooms much. Shame as this is the only downside to the hotel.
Overall a great hotel.
Would stay here again for sure!
