My family travelled for the 4th time to Hakuba and stayed at Snowlines Lodge. The staff and accomodation can only be praised. We were abit unsure about staying somewhere without ski and ski out but it was a great location. Getting to the slopes and home was easy with the dedicated morning private shuttle buses. And we were close enough to walk to Ecoland or Hakuba in the evening to eat out.

We also had a slight accident whilst away and one of us ended up with a broken leg and the staff again helped used immensely and did everything they could to assist us with medical treatment and getting home.

We had an awesome time at the lodge. It truly made the difference in the world for my wife and kids to appreciate a ski week.
First we had the best 2 connecting rooms for a family of 5. They were perfectly heated and had very comfortable beds plus private bathroom.
The better part is the common area where there is a welcoming bar and lounge for the adults where families meet every night and talk about their ski day. The rest of the area is for kids to play next to us whether board games, darts or the X-Box - everyone has a blast. Across the bay window kids spend numerous hours playing in the snow building the biggest snow fort ever in the front yard.
Better yet the 2 wood stoves producing the warmest comfy heat ever when you relax.
The staff is beyond expectations making you feel at home and always willing to help with any reservations.
Let's not forget the cosy dining room big enough for everyone providing excellent morning breakfast and special Japanese meals. You can also order your own meals and host Pizza reunion.
As for skier, they have this super efficient dry room working like no others. You toast! The shuttle departs every morning for the ski resorts with groovy music aboard and the way back with the public buses has a drop-off in front of the lodge. IZZI PIZZI! After the ski day you can relax in the hot Onsen bath or enjoy a healthy Yagermeister medication shot at the bar. It's all there. Everything you need is walkable distance.
The Snowlines Lodge is theee place to stay for the best family ski experience.

We visited Snowlines in January 2018 and would thoroughly recommend you do the same! The location is perfect right between Echoland and Happo, surrounded by great restaurants. The in-house bar is warm, comfortable and just the right amount of lively! With ample lounge areas and wood fireplaces there is no shortage of place for a drink and chill after a long day on the slopes. The bedrooms are large and the beds are massive and comfortable. We used the in-house Onsens and drying rooms every evening. They have everything you need and couldn't be friendlier. We will definitely be back!

From the moment we landed at Hakuba station, they picked us up, made us feel at home, helped us with snow gear (straight away), drove us to slopes too! The owners and staff are so friendly and helpful

absolutely delighted by the hospitality and service of this family run lodge, a great mix of Japanese traditions with modern Western touches.

the rooms are big and comfortable for multiple nights of stay and the common dining, gaming, and living room area is the best experience we had as a family of 4.

We didn't have to worry about our kids confined to the rooms or disturb other guests, the common areas offered a place for them to social, be playful, and take a quick nap while the adults are mingling by the bar inside the lodge.

the host, Stephen and Sarasa, along with their cute son Joe, absolutely intends to make their lodge feel like a home away from home, and it did as soon as we stepped into it.

coupled with Hakuba snow conditions that's on par with Hokkaido, this definitely will be our GO-TO Destination for the years to come.
