Great hotel, older style and more of a Japanese style hotel rather than western but that’s why we liked it so much! Very popular with Japanese. Staff were incredibly helpful, polite and knowledgeable, always happy to help! Room was comfortable, fantastic heating with great views of the mountains. Easy walking distance from the bus and train stations and the hotel is a stop on the free shuttle bus route to all major ski resorts.
Breakfast was Japanese style with western options so something for everyone. Onsen was a great bonus, certainly needed after a hard day on the slopes!

Will definitely stay again. Thank you!

good location : the hotel is located within easy walking distance to the train station and bus terminal, but they will arrange a shuttle service for you if you don't want to walk.

ski service : going to and from ski slopes needs a bit of planning if you are using the free shuttle services but you get plenty of info and help by hotel staffs and ski resort staffs. they have ski/board rental shop and locker plus changing room available. basic but cheap.

facility : good big bath that you can even use after check out with very small supplement. room was big and clean with small kitchen space, big storage, and comfortable bath room. good view of the mountains from the big window and balcony space. there is a small shop selling local products and vending machines for drinks inside the hotel as well as a café. restaurant for breakfast and dinner was well organised even at a busy time.

food : they offer buffet breakfast and dinner, good selection for everyone - kids loved it, my vegetarian husband was happy, I was impressed with variety of healthy options they had.

We had a very nice stay with them.

I stay at this hotel once every two years (especially in winter).
It is a bit far from Happo-one and Hakuba Goryu but you can use a complimentary shuttle bus directly from this hotel.
If you want to enjoy Japanese cuisine, which was made from local Nagono products, you can enjoy it in this restaurant.
And you can also enjoy hot springs here.
I guess you can communicate with the staff in English and Vietnamese (in fact, almost all of the restaurant staff were Vietnamese).

Lovely older hotel 5 min drive from railway station. $7 taxi fare!! Lovelly entrance with summer flowers in bloom and the sun shining, Staff very helpful, with enough English.comfortable lounge/lobby area with pleasant outlook - I can only imagine how warm and welcoming it would be in the winter with the snow. We had twin room which a reasonable size, though never enough luggage racks. Small cupboard with sink and cooktop if required I guess you would ask for utensils! nice view of the mountains and countryside from 3rd floor. you can buy tickets to the gondola directly from hotel and they will drive you up to the area. also they provided a shuttle back to the railway station which was very much appreciated. thank you for a lovely stay wish we could have stayed longer.

Room Tip: rooms on higher floor overlooking mountains

The place was very easy to find from the bus stop, slight downfall of not having a shuttle. Breakfast was a typical Japanese spread.
We had a family emergency while there and the staff was beyond helpful. One individual sat with me to translate for over an hour, and then gave us 2 nights free. They helped watch my children during the whole ordeal too. Amazing staff. I can not thank them enough!
