We stayed in this lovely 2 bed/2 bath apartment in Aug 2017. The views of the sea and golf course were superb. There are 2 pools a short stroll away from the apartment within the complex - both were gorgeous and had a very friendly lifeguard. We have 2 kids aged 8 and 4 and they loved the pool. The apartment complex is lovely with very well maintained gardens, great underground garages and 24/7 security gates. This apartment has a smart TV and we were able to access our Netflix account so the kids were well entertained after a long day at the beach or pool. There is a Lidl and Aldi a 10 minute drive away towards Sabillinas and a DIA supermarket at the bottom of the hill in El Castillo. The walk to the harbour takes about 20 minutes (turn left when you leave the complex and go down the residential area - all down hill. Its practically impossible to walk back as it is so steep. A taxi is about 9 euros but we had a car which I would recommend in this area. The drive from Malaga is about 1 hour 15minutes and the roads are great (but got confused with the toll system!) If I was to go again I would try to fly to Gibraltar rather than Malaga. We visited a Water Park in Algercerias when we discovered that it's cheaper after 3pm. The photos on Trip Advisor don't do this place justice. I would book to go back next year no question.
The apartment is amazing and equiped with all the amenities that a family could require and the balcony overlooks a fabulous view of the golf course and the coast line and has underground secure parking. There are a number of pools at Duquesa Village with free sun loungers available.
The apartment is located approximately about half a mile from the picturesque and tranquill port of Duquesa, which hosts a number of different bar's and restuarants from all corners of the globe, which we walked down to most evenings and got a taxi back (the hill is fairly steep). Or you can park free of charge if you prefer.
Sabinillas is only a short walk along a stunningly beautiful beach where sun loungers are available to hire and there are again a number of quaint Spanish bar's to spend a lazy afternoon by the beach (with a pint of San Miguel....)!
The apartment is only a stone throw away from Gilbratar where we parked just outstide and walked across the boarder, Peurto Banus which has a great Irish Bar, designer shopping and sports cars/yatchs to admire and we took the mountain roads from Caseres to the fabulous historic bull fighting town of Rhonda, where we visited the bull ring museum.
Would highly this to anyone looking for a relaxing break in Southern Spain, already planning our next trip!
Thanks to Steve and Wendy for letting my family and I stay in this amazing apartment. We came home this morning - disappointed not to be staying for longer. Apartment has everything that you need and a fantastic view. 1 minute walk to the 2 main pools on the site.
Only found it strange that nobody has thought of putting a bar or shop in Duquesa village.
Would recommend to anybody. Steve communication is first class.
