“Gorgeous Little Cottage!”
Reviewed 12 January 2017 for a stay in December 2016

Had a superb stay! The cottage was cute, cosy and warm ... just everything you would want from a winter break. Hosts Ray and Marie were so welcoming and knowledgeable about the area and we visited Portmerion, Ffestiniog Railway and would love to come back to do Zip World in the summer as it is only 10 mins from the cottage. Great walks from the doorstep and two pubs within 10 mins walk which was great. When we wanted to cook in we wanted for nothing as the kitchen was so well equipped. Wonderful cottage, wonderful stay ...we will be back!

“Cosy cottage in the heart of scenic North Wales”
Reviewed 22 November 2016 for a stay in October 2016

An autumn week away in North Wales for 2 adults & 1 child. This lovely cottage was perfect for the 3 of us & the location great for getting out & about.

The cottage was furnished & equipped to a high standard, as described by the owners on their website, which was an accurate summary of what we found. Thoughtful touches included plenty of DVDs, books, board games & jigsaws for those days when the weather might let you down. Walking maps of the area were also a useful inclusion. Comfortable sofa, armchairs & bed, with nice bedding & towels. Lovely & warm building, plenty of hot water for warm showers after days out!

The cottage was along a quiet county lane, yet only minutes from a main road, which allowed you to feel you were in a very rural location, yet with the advantage of being able to easily get out & about further afield. 2 pubs were within easy walking distance, the one we tried (The Grapes) served a very tasty menu). We enjoyed walks straight from the cottage, beautiful scenery right on the doorstep. Trips out within half an hour included the Ffestiniog steam railway, Portmeirion village & an underground slate mine, all fascinating outings. Whilst we didn't have the time to go, Snowdon would have been a similar length journey.

The owners were very organised about the booking process & friendly but not intrusive once we had arrived. They clearly love this hidden part of North Wales & we loved our first taste of it.

Would love to return & happily recommend.

Liked best: Location
Liked least: Had to go outside & unlock a padlocked door to use the washing machine, which was a little inconvenient, especially in the dark. But this was only a niggle - better that than no washing machine!

“Taseful, comfortable and convenient”
Reviewed 31 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

The accommodation was spot on for our needs in terms of comfort (2 adults plus 5 yr old) and location (Snowdonia National Park). The kitchen cottage is well equipped, beyond obvious items, the cupboards have plastic containers, variety of oven proof dishes, tins for baking, scale, citrus juicer and utensils that made food preparation/storage comfortable.
I brought provisions for 3 days and we made one more trip to supermarket to stock up for the remaining days. There are bedtime stories, puzzles and games and early-years toys in the cottage which our daughter played with as well as some DVDs. The wifi was ok for browsing but streaming films was a bit challanging.
The cottage was warm with possibility to override settings to suitable temperature and there was always hot water.
We loved the independence self-catering accommodation brings and the owners that live in the house nearby were not intrusive. Lastly. the interior decoration was very taseful and this also provided for a comfortable stay. Many thanks to the hosts!

“Cosy cottage perfectly situated to explore all Snowdonia has to offer”
Reviewed 30 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We chose this lovely cosy cottage based on previous reviews and were not disappointed. It is very well equipped, Ray and Marie have thought of everything. It is located in the most peaceful surroundings and offers wonderful walks right on the doorstep. It is also perfectly situated to explore all Snowdonia has to offer. We took the Llanberis path to the top of Snowdon and we were rewarded with the most breathtaking views (and very good weather). We also visited Porthmadog, Borth y Gest, Black Rock Sands, Harlech, Dolgellau, Caernarfon and its famous castle, both of the local Coaching Inns and one day we will have to return because we could not fit any more in!

“Charming Cottage In A Beautiful Spot”
Reviewed 13 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

I stayed here with my wife and 2 young children for a Summer holiday. The living room was a good size space. The second bedroom has a single bed in it, but was also spacious enough to include an inflatable bed in it to.
The terrace was a nice area and we were lucky enough with the weather to enjoy breakfast and dinner there some days.
The cottage is located not too far from the main road, and enjoys a really peaceful location. A great base for visiting North Wales attractions.
The owners were very friendly and gave us recommendations for the stay. The bottle of wine awaiting us on our arrival was a lovely touch too.
Would highly recommend this cottage , and look forward to returning one day hopefully
