Room was dated but ok draughts from the windows, however evening meal was very good setting scene for breakfast. Poor breakfast in that service was so so and food looked like it had been stood an hour.

Competition in the area but nothing outstanding as yet, however 4years of work in north Wales so plenty of time to find something excellent

I stayed at The Springfield for just one night and found it to be very nice in most aspects. The staff are friendly and the breakfast was very good. I did not eat there as we met friends nearby to eat but the food looked very good in the hotel. The first room we were given was very warm and smelled just like the swimming pool ( It was directly above it ). This was rectified and the second room was much better.
I would certainly stay here again but I would make sure that I was not going to be allocated a room above the pool in advance. If that was all they had I would not stay as the room was too hot and smelled of chemicals.

Room Tip: Do not get a room above the pool....too hot and smells of chlorine.

We were traveling down to Anglesey and decided to stop off enroute, when we have done this we have stopped in a Travel Lodge but when we checked the price was £55. I checked on line and booked the Springfield Hotel which has lovely rooms ours had a (fantastic view) plus it has a gym sauna pool and breakfast as well all for £60. The staff were really welcoming and helpful had a really pleasant stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view the front of the hotel looks out over the estuary and is beautiful.

A nice, warm welcome to the hotel and the receptionest offered for someone to carry my very small bag to my room. The food was good and the staff were very pleasant. I had a nice room which was warm and comfortable and good, spacious bathroom. I didn't make use of the gym or the pool but the pool did look very nice. Breakfast was good and again the staff were very pleasant, I heard them offer to provide a hot breakfast to take away for a man who had said he had only time to have cereal.

The hotel seems to be used mainly by people travelling for work purposes but the reasonable rates (in comparison to B&Bs) and the leisure faclities make it equally suited to families visiting nearby Rhyl or Prestatyn.

Room Tip: There is no lift, I assume there are rooms available on the ground floor for people who have mobilit...

This was my first visit to the hotel and i must say it won't be my last (we have family living locally so this was an ideal stop of)

On arrival we were greeted by the receptionist who found to be welcoming and helpful.

The room was great, clean, light and airy with all the facilities I would expect at a branded hotel.

We had dinner on the our first night and i was surprised at the amount of choice there was on the menu and i have to admit the food was fantastic. Breakfast was great too (even if we did come down a bit late) there was plenty to choose from and everything was lovely hot and fresh.

As for the leisure club i must admit i was surprised at how good the equipment was and the pool was a real treat.

Every member of staff we came across were friendly and professional.

Overall this is a great hotel in a great location (just of the A55), will i be going back - you bet i will.
