“Beautiful cottage”
Reviewed 13 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

Stayed in tinkley cottage for a week, beautiful cottage, everything you need. Cottage is renevated sympathetically to keep lots of original features. A bathroom with huge bath which the kids loved! Also a separate downstairs shower room. Loved the comfy recliner sofas, so often we find the sofas in holidays cottages are not that comfy for relaxing in the evening but these were great! We found the location of the cottage great, we didn't have to venture far to find somewhere to visit or a walk to do, in fact we did several walks directly from the cottage which was nice. Kids loved the chickens! This is probably one of the best cottages we have stayed in, our only small complaint was that as there was no room for wardrobes there were just a few hangers and hooks on the wall in the bedrooms. Initially we didn't think this would accommodate all of our clothes, however there were also sets of drawers and we actually managed ok with what there was. We have already recommended the cottage to friends and hope to be back ourselves one day. Thank you to Anne and her husband who were very friendly and helpful.

“Great South Cotswolds Holiday Base”
Reviewed 18 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We noticed how clean this property is as soon as we entered it. The photographs on the website give a good idea of the appearance and equipment provided. It is well converted from a barn, retaining a lot of the features of the original building. It was appreciated that there is car-parking provided within the yard, right outside the front door of the cottage. We also enjoyed the hens pecking about in the yard as well as the doves on the roof.
The rooms are a good size and comfortable so we could relax when in, and a selection of books for both adults and children is there in case of bad weather.
It is well positioned for general walking in the hills (steep hills!) as well as for visiting attractions in the area. There is a lot to do if you are interested in the countryside, old houses, woodland, and wildfowl.

“Warm and welcoming”
Reviewed 6 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

We stayed in the lovely Tinkley cottage and awoke every morning to the sound of cooing doves. The cottage is beautifully decorated, warm and cosy when the weather closes in but also light and airy and it has a well appointed kitchen.
Anne and David were perfect hosts - a short walk away for advice about the local area and very accommodating of our changing schedule.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying in Tinkley and will return.

“So relaxing”
Reviewed 3 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We had a four night stay over bank holiday weekend. It was a lovely base to see a beautiful part of the country.
We were greeted by the owners who were lovely and at hand if we needed anything.
The 2 bed 2 bath Tinkley cottage was fab everything you could need including a BBQ and use of a washer and dryer which was shared with the other two cottages.
There is the rose & Crown Pub less than a 2 minute walk away which we highly recommend.

“Perfect wedding base”
Reviewed 28 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

My family (of 8) stayed in the three cottages (Tinkley plus Nympy and Tump) for 3 nights over my wedding weekend - our wedding took place in the village church and our reception was held at Kingscote Barn.

These gorgeous cottages proved to be the perfect base for me and my family - getting ready with my bridesmaids in Nympy on the morning of the wedding was a joy, and Tinkley (the biggest cottage) was a great size when we all wanted to get together.

Each cottage is immaculately and stylishly furnished and decorated whilst keeping all the beautiful original features. Loved the woodburners, the beams, the underfloor heating, the skylights, the clever use of chicken wire... the chickens themselves were fun to watch too!

We would recommend the cottages to anyone, wedding party or otherwise, and would return in a heartbeat - we just need to find an excuse to take us there! Huge thanks to the lovely owner Anne, and her family, for making us so welcome and our stay so memorable.
