The hotel seems to have been recently refurbished so facilities are modern and fine. It's well situated, just a few minutes walk from the main boulveard. The room and bathroom were comfortable and there was a good view of the city from the balcony. Breakfast, served in the rather stylish café/bar area, was mostly local fare.

Nice place, they re-did it with great updates. Nice bar area. Dinning room area is nice good breakfast in the morning. nice views of the Terik river, walking distance to the main part of town very nice old school cosmopolitan feel to the town. Walking avenue through park. Staff is good, always had one English speaking staff on duty, very helpful about local things.

Room Tip: Upper floors with river view

I stayed at the Hotel Vladikavkaz for two separate nights in July 2015. First night I stayed on the unrenovated 8th floor, second time at the renoveted 6th floor. Main differnce is the AC and the hair-dryer - both on floor 6, but not on floor 8. The location of the hotel is very good. Next to the picturesque mosque of Vladikavkaz. Across the river is a small amusement park and if you go straight on you will be soon at Prospekt Mira, the main boulevard. At the point you meet Prospekt Mira there is a good supermarket at th ecorner, which also sells hot food (I had the plov and it was tasty). Room was o.k., Breakfast good, Reception staff friendly and with (limited) english. Wifi had some problems, but worked. Hotel Vladikavkaz is a convinient place to stay.

This former Intourist Hotel seems slightly run down from outside and in the public areas, but the renovated 10th floor is not bad, at prices around 100USD. Fantastic views on the city, the Terek River, the mosque, and the Caucasus. Friendly English-speaking receptionist. Food not to bad. Breakfast just ok.

This "sovjet style" hotel is situated in the center of town and I had a great view over the river Terek and some mountains as well. Especially I enjoyed the view of the mosque and of the small theme park.
Great plus that the room had balcony (although some furniture would be nice).
I actually liked the interior of the room, its not exactly new but well kept and charming with nice wooden floor. You can hear some through the walls but it was a quiet hotel so it wasn´t a problem.

Breakfast was ok. There is an ATM in the reception, which is very convenient. Staff in the reception were not very warm but could speak english and were efficient and professional.
I think this hotel is good value for money and I can definitely recommend it.
