Excellent place to stay, whether overnight or longer to explore the local area which has lots to offer. Evening meal is always excellent with lively conversation with your hosts.

We stopped off here on our way further south and couldn't have been happier. We were welcomed with a well received beer and the garden was lovely for our sons to stretch their legs after a long journey. The family room was just right for us, clean, spacious and good wifi!

We had our evening meal with Gilles and Jacqueline which was delicious and I was grateful for the vegetarian meal made for me. Gilles and Jacqueline were very easy company to chat to and we learned about the local area and French wines chatting over dinner. All rather lovely as our first night on holiday!

Les Dornes is a perfect Chambre d'hote to stay either en route back to Calais or as we did for a day's cycling in the Pas de Calais. The accommodation is exceptionally clean, and being a modern house the bedroom and bathroom large with a very good shower. If the weather is fine, relax in the beautiful gardens. Tea and coffee facilities provided is you wish.
Jacqueline and Gilles are exceptional hosts, Jacqueline cooks excellent evening meals if you want and Gilles is a fund of information on the area and its history. Due to rain on the first morning we visited La Coupole, just 15 mins drive away where the V.2 rockets
were intended to be built by the Nazis in WW2 - worth visiting and allow 2/3 hours to see everything.

Just a short drive to the A26 autoroute the location could not be better.

Came recommended by a friend who lives in France and has stayed there, this place proved to be delightful. Rooms are large and well furnished and comfortable. The giant croissants at breakfast and the home made jams superb and evening meals taken in leisurely fashion with our hosts and other guests were superb.
Ample off street parking, and excellent gardens to boot. Easy to find, close to A26, and Saint Omer and yet only a short drive to the coast along wonderfully quiet roads. All in all an excellent and typically french stop, spotlessly clean and immaculately cared for.

Room Tip: All are good

We had one night here before crossing from Calais to go home. The Blondels are a friendly and sociable couple, who make sure that one is made to feel very welcome. they both speak excellent English.

We had a very comfortable room, the Raspberry, with ensuite bath and loo. It is most spacious and warm.

We were given an excellent dinner, with aperitifs and wine, beautifully cooked by Jacqueline and the conversation flowed on a variety of topics. Breakfast was copious and delicious.

This is a good place to know about.
