We found this lovely B&B last year on the way home from Spain. Nothing had changed except that this year we stayed on Sunday which was a big mistake! The reason for this is that Gilles and Jacqueline have a family day on Sunday so no dinner is available. We so enjoyed the 4 course dinner last year with wine and nibbles but had forgotten that it was Monday when we stayed last year.
Everything else was great as always and the breakfast sublime due to the larger croissants now on the table.
We do go there whenever we can and last year we took two other couples in December and they loved it too.

Room Tip: All four rooms are quiet and three have double beds. Two up and two down.

we stayed overnight on route to Calais the next day. Gilles and Jacqueline were extremely welcoming, the room was spotless and we had a lovely meal in their good company. Although we had not booked a meal for the kids as we were arriving late, they very kindly fed them ice cream and other "extras" which was appreciated.

Definitely recommended for a longer stay in the area.

Lovely welcoming, spotlessly clean, bed and breakfast. I would recommend booking the evening meal which was delicious, 4 courses and wine included, all home cooked. We will definately be returning whenever we visit France.

Room Tip: We had the sunshine room but all are lovely. Full blinds which blocked out all daylight in the early...

Excellent stopover. We had one night (husband and self) in a lovely large room with an ensuite and separate loo. The sunshine room I think. Gilles and Jacqueline were exceptional hosts. We had an excellent evening meal with wine and coffee. Despite the fact my French is very schoolgirl, we managed most of the dinner in French, chatting with another couple who only spoke French. This was actually really enjoyable and has encouraged me to try to learn more!
The house is charming, with plenty of space to park and lovely gardens. Easy access to the motorway and the channel ports and euro tunnel. Gilles is obviously very knowledgable about the area. Les Dornes will be very high on our list of places to stay overnight in the future. However it really deserves a visit in its own right! So much to see. Next time I will be ordering sunshine!

Just spent an overnight with my wife and two friends. In village in the middle of nowhere yet very easy access to Calais, Boulogne & St.Omer. Lovely house and garden. Cosy rooms at a reasonable price. Delicious four course evening meal with aperitif, wine & coffee. Gillies & Jacqueline were most welcoming and helpful hosts. Excellent English. We would all stay there again.
