The house is located within easy reach by car of local shops, a stunning beach, and many interesting towns and attractions. The house itself is possibly the loveliest place we have ever stayed in, and it has a real home from home feeling, surrounded by lush fruit trees laden with limes, pomelos, olives and pomegranates. There is plenty of outside space and it is very child-friendly, with a great clean pool (slightly chilly in October, but we braved it!). It is in a very peaceful setting, not close to any other properties and the house itself is full of character, very well presented with spacious rooms, high ceilings, immaculately clean, with everything we needed for our stay. There is also the added bonus of the 5 oh so cute cats (and kittens) and Spillo the friendly, handsome dog, all of whom we adored. The charming owner Corrado is extremely helpful, very knowledgable about the "real" Sicily and will give you some brilliant tips on where (or where not!) is worth visiting and where to eat out. Corrado went well above the call of duty to help us with a problem with our car, ensuring we got back home safe and sound. There is plenty to do in south Sicily, highlights for us were Cava Grande, Mount Etna and Ortiga (old Syracuse). There was so much more to do, we want to go back!. Overall we absolutely loved it and had an amazing time.
4 friends have just returned from 8 wonderful nights in Corrado's Cassabile country house.
Surrounded by a gorgeous garden filled with lemon, orange, grapefruit, persimmon and pomegranate trees, bourgainvillea, lavender and herbs.
Resident dog, Spillo, four cats and five kittens kept us amused and we fed them treats.
Only piece of advice is bring lots of mozzie repellant and bite relief cream if planning to sit in lovely garden for evening drinks and dinner. Screens on house windows are excellent and good air con in bedrooms.
Food shopping, restaurants and lovely local beaches nearby.
Day trips to wonderful Ortygia(old Syracuse), Noto, Ragusa and Modica all superb.
Enjoyed a glass of wine and a chat with Corrado every evening and even had a barbecue on lemon tree wood after swims in the lovely pool.
A great week and would love to return!
This villa is just heaven and in a perfect location for travelling to the nearby towns of Avola and Notto as well as the spectacular Cava Grande. The villa is so idyllic that you may not even want to venture out! Corrado made us feel so, so special and went over and above his duty to advise us about the area. He exudes Sicilan charm!! Take all of his advice as it will be invaluable. The local beaches are spectacular and you are only a short drive from the local shops which sell everything that you will need. The fruit and olive trees surround you and you have a herb garden directly outside your door. The sweet smell of jasmine and lavender radiates and intoxicates you. Spilo the dog and the cats brought so much entertainment for the children. They loved the fact that there were also 4 kittens which were usually sheltered under the rosemary bush. I would definitely recommend making up a pasta dish using the herbs outside whilst dancing around the kitchen, listening to Corrado's selection of CDs with a vino!
I believe this is the best holiday of my life- only made so by the location, the people (especially Corrado) and the food. Very tearful leaving and will most definitely return. I cannot recommend this piece of heaven enough!!!
We enjoyed `a three night stay here and would highly recommend using this location as a base for travelling the East side of Sicily. The accommodation is stunning and the plot idyllic. The facilities were spotless and well-equipped.
Extra bonuses were:
A great herb garden, Spillo the Dog AKA Scooby Doo and the friendly cats !
Last but by no means least the owner Corrado is an absolute star - gave up 3 hours to discuss what to see, where to eat and responded to any questions within 5 minutes.
All in all a fantastic holiday.....see u soon Spillo !!!

As the large grey gates of Elanbeco open up you can't help but feel you have arrived in paradise. Immediately you are met with the most beautiful trees, blossoming flowers of every colour, a clear blue swimming pool surrounded by lemon & lime orchards.
From the moment we arrived we loved our stay in Elanbeco. The house is very spacious, beautiful and full of interesting objects. It's well maintained and clean. The bedrooms are large, comfortable and air conditioned. The house, barbecue area, shaded lounging area & surrounding garden look even better than the pictures we saw on trip advisor.
The kitchen is well stocked and has all you need if you plan on cooking meals or baking.
The house is a good place for people who like animals - on the property there are two cats 'lemon' and Ricky and a lovely friendly dog called 'Spillo' my daughters aged 7, 4 and 9 months fell in love with him!!
Corrado the owner was incredibly welcoming, kind and full of information about things to do and see, he really took a lot of time to make sure our stay went as smoothly as possible.
We took a few trips to the nearby towns & beaches but our best time was spent relaxing in and around the house. Its very rare we get to come away from our busy lives and just slow down. My husband and I loved watching the girls running free, climbing the trees, chasing the dog, dipping in & out of the pool morning noon & night, having their meals in the stunning outdoors. My favourite memory will be our time as a family sitting late at night playing games on the patio. Elanbeco allows you to enjoy the simple things in life -family time.
Thank you Corrado for all your help and a beautiful holiday.
