Excellent, central location and very comfortable clean house. Exceedingly helpful owners. Well equipped and roomy.
Only veryslight downside is the entrance to the parking area, which has bollards shared with the next door church and which have to be unlocked and locked each time the car is moved.. (a minor irritant)
We were a family group of 4 adults and 2 small children and the accommodation was perfect for us. It is in a very central position with several shops, convenience stores, pubs, restaurants, takeaways and the sea front (15 min stroll) all within easy walking distance. There are 2 double bedrooms with ensuites plus a twin and single attic room that share a bathroom. The house was clean and very well equipped. The living space is limited with an open plan kitchen diner and lounge but with folding chairs 6 can use the table. The utility room is a bonus for a larger group and has a large fridge-freezer. Parking is a bit tight for 2 cars (be sure to have the code available for the security post on arrival!) , the lawned garden, which sides on to the church car park, is quite private and there is a useful shed (body boards, crab lines etc) A reasonable size BBQ is provided (not cleaned when we got there nor any cleaning brushes and only a pair of tongs.) highly recommended.
We chose this cottage because it also allowed pets, there were 6 adults plus 2 dogs so the layout of the cottage was really suitable for our party. The dog owners had the ground floor which had an en-suite shower room & there was access to the garden for the dogs, which meant no-one else was disturbed when the dogs needed to be let out into the garden.
The 2 bedrooms on the upper floor were suitable for the rest of our party & the added bonus was the single room in the roof, space in case it was needed for an extra guest.
The facilities & equipment in the house were sufficient for 6 people, the situation was ideal, with a short walk to the seafront & lots of amenities in the village on the doorstep e.g. A convenience store, a chemist & several pubs serving food. The Smugglers Inn was ideal as it was a short stroll from the cottage, the food was really good.
The only criticism was, although the cottage was clean, it was rather dusty in places
