Travelling to Ribby Hall came as a wonderful relaxation break after a hectic 2017 and busy Christmas. Upon arriving we were welcomed into the hotel and told our room number. After dropping our bags in the bedroom we swiftly changed into swimwear and experienced the thermal journey in the spa. This consists of several different heat rooms (steam, sauna etc) as well as several pools and two outdoor jacuzzis. Despite it being January, the jacuzzis and pools were heated well which made it very pleasant to relax in, amplified by the contrast of the cold air. We had the taster menu which consisted of 6 courses and accompanying glasses of wine for each one! We have had this once before and would have it again without a doubt. Absolutely exquisite food with wonderful waiting staff! Not sure of the name of our waitress but she noticed we both had FitBits and delighted in telling us about hers too. She was young with brown hair but clearly had a lot of waiting experience as she served us with ease and enthusiasm. The incredible customer service we encountered just made a wonderful trip even more enjoyable. Looking forward to returning!

To celebrate Holly’s birthday we booked the Spring Zen Thermal journey. For £34 each we had a minimum of 2 hours trying out all the different saunas and steam rooms and finishing with a glass of fizzy or a mocktail. The place was spotless, and we were given a fluffy robe, towel and flip flops. Elemis shower gel, shampoo and conditioner were provided in the pre journey shower cubicles. So we began our journey following the suggested route on our leaflet. I didn’t feel overly hot or discomforted, the progression was perfect, we even tried the ice bucket challenge after the Bali room. It was lovely sitting outside in the hot tub and also having our drink whilst sitting on the hammocks wrapped in a blanket watching the wind blowing the trees, I also liked the Himalayan salt sauna. After wondering whether we would struggle to keep ourselves occupied we stayed for nearly 4 hours and could have been there until closing at 8pm but had to get back for Birthday tea. The hairdryers and GHD straighteners in the changing room were a delight to use. The staff were all very pleasant and I definitely would go back again. We came out feeling very relaxed, refreshed and squeaky clean.

First time for my friend (birthday treat) and she loved it. Hotel is wonderful and comfy and the Spa is always fab. A few niggles.....cheap coffee in the room and the spa outside bar closed at 5.40pm when we and others were still outside.

The food is exceptional and although the drinks are expensive the cocktails are wonderful.

Recommended to anyone who wants a treat!

This was our 5th year back at Ribby Hall Spa. Every year it’s a pleasure to see what is new (we are never disappointed). Overall we had another lovely stay. The service at breakfast was exceptional from the food and staff.
As a group we could not fault anything apart from the evening meal. We had booked our trip nearly a year ago and booked the Tapas restaurant as we were not impressed with the food in the main restaurant the previous visit. We were all looking forward to Tapas and were driven down to “The Tapas Restaurant “ to be given to menus without one Tapas on. After speaking to the manager was told Tapas ended at 8pm. Why let us booked a table for 8pm for Tapas when you finish serving at 8pm!!!
What could have been an exceptional visit left us questioning if we would return for our 6th year.
