The welcome was lovely and the view from our room gorgeous but the fan in the bathroom didn’t work, the service at dinner lacked finesse and the meal itself was decidedly ordinary....overall not a disaster but not the treat we had hoped for.

We had our wedding in the connemara Coast on the 30th of december. What a brilliant hotel with the best staff a hotel could have. I cannot thank the hotel enough for providing Such a professional service. Most of our 260 group had never been to a wedding in the connemara Coast and the feedback we are getting is that it was the nicest hotels they've ever attended a wedding and noted the friendliness of the staff. Thanks to all the friendly gang behind the front desk, The Busy energetic bar staff, The waiting staff for there 5 star table service especially the blonde girl who served the top table I forget her name but everyone on the top table mentioned her as delight including us. The mangers, Brendan, michael, michaèl, George,John everything you promised us came through .The food was the highlight and it did not disappoint on both days.
Thanks again we will be hoping to return during the summer. Excellent hotel with Excellent staff rounded of with a Gentleman of an owner who oversaw the wedding. 10 stars

We just spent the weekend at this hotel and I can safely say, we'll stay here again. Our room was warm, clean and spacious with a wonderful view. Bathroom could do with a serious upgrade, as it was dated and tired looking. I also noticed our bathroom didn't have an extractor fan, which can lead to damp issues. But, it was clean and no sign of any damp. Staff were super friendly and the entire hotel had a very festive feel about it. The breakfast on offer was nice with plenty of options. The bar food was also nice. We didn't get the chance to try out the restaurant as we had our 2-year old son with us. We got great use out of the facilities, and used the pool every day. Our little boy particularly loved the pool. The pool area, which included toddler pool, jaccuzi, sauna and steam-room, were spotlessly clean and a member of staff was always on duty monitoring the pool area. Complementary arms bands were also made available for kids which I thought was a nice touch. We didn't get any use out of the gym but from what I saw, it was well equipped. The only thing I felt let the facilities down a bit was the lack of a family changing area. Myself and my husband found it quite difficult to dry and change a disgruntled and uncooperative toddler, who didn't want to get out of the pool. I had no choice but to sneak into the men's changing rooms (as it was empty, women's was busy enough) to help my husband with our son. Aside from this, excellent facilities. Another nice touch was the children's playground outside. Unfortunately, being winter, we didn't get any use out if it but management clearly have families in mind here, which we loved. The hotel could go one step further here and consider setting up an indoor play area. With such a large lobby, and plenty of seating areas above it also, finding a spot to accommodate a play area wouldn't be an issue. We stayed in a hotel in Lisbon earlier this year and it had a play area for kids, with seating for parents, just off the lobby. It was great, and our son loved it. Just a suggestion. We did notice the games room but it was locked and we just didn't bother to enquire about it. Hoping to be back to this summer so as to enjoy more off the coastline. Thanks again CCH!
