“Charming and cosy house with all the mod cons”
Reviewed 4 May 2017 for a stay in April 2017

What a find!
5 golfing couples stayed here for 3 nights at the end of April and we had an absolute blast. There are so many positives about this house but probably the best was the enormous kitchen/dining area where we shared breakfast each morning. Plenty of room for 5-6 cars outside. Large bbq and table and chairs outside for when the weather warms up. 5 bedrooms upstairs (2 en suite, 1 double with bunk beds, 1 twin with an extra bed, and 1 other twin) while the downstairs study (which has a sofa bed) can easily be converted to a bedroom. House nice and warm. The kitchen has all the mod cons while the sitting room has 3 large comfy sofas with Sky TV and all the channels (Alison & Mike kindly arranged for us to watch the Joshua vs Klitschko fight live). There is a nearby mini supermarket at the garage half a mile away which is well stocked. In the evenings we ate out at the Britannia Inn (authentic Welsh county pub), King Arthur pub (voted top 10 in the UK) and the Beach House in Oxwich (which could be Michelin star it is that good); all of these are within 10 minutes drive, and the local taxi firm took us to and from them all. We played golf at Pennard (15 minutes), Ashburnham (50 minutes) and Royal Porthcawl (1 hour) which are all fantastic in their own way.
Will strongly consider coming back with my extended family next summer.

“Beautiful home surround by beautiful scenery.”
Reviewed 20 January 2017 for a stay in December 2016

The house was amazing, it managed to feel homely and the Christmas decorations where a nice touch. We had the full 17 people stay and we always had enough room, even cooking dinner for all of them was easy with the huge kitchen and dinning table.
And we didn't have to worry about the noise all 17 of us were making due to it being surrounded by the lovely Welsh Countryside.

The beds are comfy and the master bedroom with the large door windows was certainly a treat. The shower room is great way to wake up.

Due to it being cold and wet December we didn't manage to get out much but when we did the Gower is amazing beautiful place that I really would like to return to.

The owners were always quick to respond to my emails before and after the holiday. We didn't have any problems when we were there but if we did i'm sure they would of sorted it quickly.

Loved every minute of it, may have to go book again.

“The Old Vicarage a Home from Home”
Reviewed 18 January 2016 for a stay in January 2016

Just spent the weekend with family and friends for Birthday celebrations. The house easily catered for our party of 15, it's a warmly and welcoming house. The location was great for us to go visiting the lovely beaches at Port Eynon and Rhossili taking in the fresh sea air. Returning to the Old Vicarage to light the log burner, warm up and relax with scones and tea :)

A return visit will be a must.

“Stunning House!! Highly recommended!”
Reviewed 1 November 2015 for a stay in September 2015

11 Hens stayed in the Old Vicarage in September 2015, and it couldn't have been more perfect! Stunning house, so cosy yet grand decor. Fresh flowers in vase on arrival, LARGE kitchen and conservatory for us all to enjoy meals together. Lounge areas were perfect to chill and play silly games! The views were stunning, nothing like being out in the countryside, could see/hear sheep and cows from the bedrooms..so peaceful and quiet! About a 20min taxi ride in to Swansea, which was fine, so got the best of both worlds!

The house was spotless, the communications with owners were extremely efficient (including thorough directions and local places to see) and the price was excellent value for money! Could not fault it! MUST VISIT!!! xx

“Perfect, spacious, luxurious... A most relaxing and ideal weekend!”
Reviewed 10 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Booked for my husband's 50th in September 2015, it is the most perfect place to celebrate and enjoy family and friends together! Both Alison and Mike were available to answer every text or email and were so friendly, welcoming , professional and above all committed to making sure everything was perfect for our stay. The property had everything you could need or ask for and was exceptionally clean and inviting. The wealth of relaxing rooms made all our guests, whether partying or chilling, feel they could be themselves and enjoy! If you are thinking of reading whilst at the house, there are hundreds of books that will keep you entertained for weeks! Everything about our three night 50th weekend was perfect.... The kitchen was modern and well equipped and the bedroom linen was of a lovely quality! There is enough room for parking many cars as we had many guests on one of the days! Don't hesitate to book this property for your retreat...whether to explore the beautiful area or relax...or both. You will not be disappointed! Thank you Alison and Mike for an amazing weekend!
