“Ideal for friends looking to explore the highlands”
Reviewed 29 March 2017 for a stay in March 2017

Perfect location - far removed from city life and perfect for a little break away. Really close to Fort William, Ben Nevis and all of the amazing activities you can do in the area.

They even left us shower gel, and it comes with a pristine kitchen and lovely living area. Would fully recommend to a group of friends or a family. For the price as well, it was definitely worthwhile and very glad we went.

It's a shame as this place could actually be a beautiful place to stay however....the place needs a damn good clean. The amenities are basic but everything you will need is supplied so no problems there. The mattresses need changing. The garden could be an absolute stunner but is left to run wild. The whole house feels like it has been built on some sort of suspended platform as all the floors bounce! The electrics in the house are a joke please don't have on more than a couple of lights at a time as everything trips out. The place sleeps 8 but there's only room for 6 people to sit in the living room! The gutters need sorting too as when it chucks it down they are useless..There is no landline so, if like us on 3 different mobile carriers, you have no signal you are cut off....god help you if you have an accident. There is wifi, not particularly fast but it's there thankfully. No proper SKY package i.e. No sky1 but that's ok TVs not important really. Went for food at the local pub, the owners of the pub are the owners of the cottage, and was a bit dubious because there had been a few bad reviews but was more than happy with the service and the food thought the menu was limited it was good..

All in all it's a shame all this place needs is some proper TLC. It wasn't a bad experience but it wasn't one that I wish to repeat

“A good base for visiting the local area”
Reviewed 8 June 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Spent 4 nights here with friends. Initial impressions were poor as we were greeted by a damp smell and the outside of the property appeared shabby. However, once we opened all the windows and unpacked it didn't seem that bad. There were two double and two twin rooms, two loos one with a shower the other with a bath. The kitchen was large and it was welcome to have milk and bread provided after our long trip. There were a few basic kitchen items missing, colander/sieve for example and not enough teaspoons but this could be easily rectified. As mentioned in other reviews there was no phone signal in the property but there was wifi available. Overall a reasonable base to stay when visiting the area.

Stayed for 3 nights. Very, very impressed. The cottage was very clean, cosy and in a fantastic location. Could not have asked for more. Thank you!
