6 of us decided to eat at the Seal. We booked a table and we're offered 1700 or 2030. Obviously very busy.
At 2030 we were seated at our reserved table. It was very busy but the waitresses were super efficient and not stressed. They were fun and really pleasant.
Good wines and fast service. My Mussels were perfect with a lovely fragrant creamy white wine stock. The cold sharing fish was enjoyed and a further portion of fish cake received a rave review. I had the Sea Bass fillets as a main. It was lovely served with great buttery sugar snap peas and potato slices. Others had the trout with a daufinoise stack or the haloumi. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Sweats were a joy....we had something of everything on offer. After a super meal the bill was a super surprise. ...very good value and good portions. Will we be back. ..you bet!

Food was good. Children portions are huge! Asked for chicken off the bone, received chicken on the bone. The gammon was really good, be careful as the roast potatoes are very seasoned that I struggled to eat them (others didn't have this problem) HUGE portions of fish and chips that everyone loved! Only issues were that the veg that came with the 'roast' type dinners was very minimal. Also it seems the coke is in fact cola (or was extremely flat) which I think for a pub is a bit ridiculous.

If you wish to experience Customer BLISS (so much more than Service) simply go for breakfast at The Seal. The team are always welcoming and professional. Vanessa is a remarkable ambassador for all that the hospitality industry stands for. The food is delicious, the service swift and value for money. We booked a table for supper too and had a great meal - all 3 courses were delicious. Thank you Kiki, your staff do an amazing job.

I have been here a few times before and enjoyed the food and experience.went again with my wife sat night 8th July.First thing was as soon as we walked in the staff smiled and said hi.secondly as we had already booked for 7pm we went straight to the restaurant at 6.55.There was a smart guy already showing some customers to their table but still acknowledged us and came to us imediately after seating the other guests. This guy was extremely focussed on us and his job.l later found out his name was Liam. We were seated and given menus straight away. The service by all was excellent and the food was very enjoyable and plentifull and we didn't make it to the sweet unfortunately as our tummies were full. The staff asked us if everything was ok and knew just the right times to come to our table. Our drinks came very quickly and we didn't wait long for any of our food. Lovely evening and the bill was also reasonable and when you have great food and great service that makes us happy to pay the bill and look forward to the next time. I couldn't leave that restaurant without making sure the whole team including the chefs which you can see cooking as it's all open, what a great job they all did. People in this country like to say things when things go wrong but when people get it right they should say so and give people the credit they deserve. On leaving the restaurant we gave Liam a tip and told him we thought he was very good at his job.He said that it made his night and when you get a comment like that it makes you happy to go on and do your whole nights work. The owners of the seal have obviously done a lot of hard work to get to that stage and the whole team should be commended. Because we had a starter that was lovely by the way, If they cut down the volume of the main meal slightly, us and others would probably get to the sweet as well which would also make good business sense and they looked yummy. Please note,
I have no connection to the seal or any of their staff.l trained as a chef in 1976 and worked at a london hilton but now l am a street trader in central london.
