Try the bargain pie and a pint on Mondays £8.95. Always a great selection of real ales and the pies are 'proper' not just a dish of stew with a puff pastry lid! Real pastry encased. Staff always friendly and helpful. The poached pear with mulled wine sorbet was fantastic. Food is always top class.

Wonderful food, great menu choices. One of our party was a vegetarian and she said the mushroom, goats cheese and walnut starter was the best she had ever tasted.

On a quiet Monday evening after a long weekend I tried "Pie and a Pint" day at The Seal.
Two choices ... Chicken and Mushroom or Lamb and vegetable. I went for the Lamb and vegetable which came with mash potato, peas and gravy and a pint of guest beer of my choice, Greene King IPA (or could have had a glass of wine of your choice) all for £9.95 . The pie was a proper pie .. not just a crust and it was filled to the gunnels. Bloody lovely. A great idea for Mondays ... thank you ... try it.

We came here for our evening meal, having popped in at lunchtime for a drink. The restaurant area is large, offering a great number of covers without feeling overcrowded. The service is friendly and efficient, and the food excellent (the steak & kidney pudding was amongst the best I've tasted). Highly recommended.

Being fairly new to Selsey (just under a year) my wife and I have tried a few places to eat out. We have been to the Seal a few times now, and have always found the staff to be friendly and accommodating - from the front bar to the restaurant. The pub has a buzz and the restaurant (weekends as I have only been down for weekends so cant comment on the week trade) has always been fairly busy - normally a good sign, and in this case so. Food has been good, with a nice selection, and as for portions, make sure you are hungry before going, as you wont be disappointed.
