Excellent week away over Easter with three generations of our family, plus dog.The owners kindly allowed us a Wednesday-to-Wednesday let and the house seemed made-to-measure - downstairs bedrooms for the grandparents (including their own kitchenette, bathroom and conservatory), comfortable lounge/dining room with sea views from the balcony on the first floor for us all and a further three bedrooms upstairs for the rest of the family.
Everything, apart from food, was provided - bed-linen (beds made up for us), towels, toilet rolls, kitchen rolls, washing up liquid etc - and there was even a supply of tea and coffee, had we needed it. The kitchen was very well equipped - not the usual holiday house with 'too many egg-cups and precious little else'!
Overall it felt very much like 'home-from-home' - comfortable, lived-in and clean but not overly pristine, so we could relax without worrying about the slightest spill or dog hairs on the carpets.
Add to this the amazing sea views, the fresh fish shop a few yards along the front (we'd recommend the local mackerel) plus the friendly & helpful neighbour and owners - this has to be one of the best holiday lets we've ever had!.
We were looking for a cottage for up to 12 people (including children) for a short half-term break and found this on Trip Advisor.
The reviews were excellent and we were not disappointed. The weather really made the holiday being able to sit out on the balcony at lunch with the sun did not feel like February. We were also able to walk to Selsey Bill and enjoyed the Pub garden on the way back. The pint of prawns and mussels were particularly good as it was a new menu after a re-fit.
Pagham harbour is a nice walk round the marshland and there is a nice but expensive put in the village of sidlesham.
The children loved the wi-fi in the evenings and the summerhouse was an added bonus. Arrival and departure were very flexible and Max and Mary were very good with the communication. There is an nice info pack waiting for you in the house.
The Kitchen was well equipped and allowed us to cook great meals for all.
The skate park and play area was great and I wish we had brought a bike for the BMX track.
There was a classic car show on the sunday morning we left.
We would definitely recommend for a family break.
I booked directly with Max the owner rather than the agency. Our booking was made with ease and our changes made, fuss-free. The house is very well appointed and on three floors giving our two families (9 people and one dog) a floor each to ourselves with communal lounge and dining. The lounge is huge and with the best sea view. Two kitchens, two freezers and two fridges meant that catering for Christmas was a piece of cake. No trying to cram food into too small an appliance. We had two good meals at the Lifeboat Inn, fish and chips from around the corner as recommended, and shopped at the local Co-op for other essentials, such as tonic water! Although we had wonderful weather, we would love to return in the Summer. Thank you for the little extras such as Christmas decorations, chocolate filled baubles which I wrestled the children for, and crackers. All in all, the perfect Christmas.

We had three generations for a week and the house suited this well. The toddlers enjoyed the summer house and the safe balcony. Plenty of room for 7 adults. Well equipped. The location is superb, closer to the sea than it looked and easy stroll to good shops. Very friendly and helpful owner and neighbour to deal with.
