“Excellent 4 night break in a lovely cottage”
Reviewed 21 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Just returned from a stay in Laburnum Cottage, easy to find in the lovely village of Bedale. The cottage was very homely and we were welcomed with fresh flowers and a card, a nice touch from Terry & Sarah. Cottage is very well equipped and comfortable. Our dog loved the long garden and his daily walk along the Beck. The village has everything you need and is only a few minutes walk away.
Location is ideal for visiting some beautiful places in the Yorkshire Dales, Richmond, the village of Hawes and Fountains Abbey were some of our favourites.
Terry & Sarah seem to be the perfect hosts, even promptly returning a left item to me by post.
We would definitely recommend a stay here and hope to return again.

“Lovely Cottage”
Reviewed 20 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Stayed at cottage for 3 nights. Found it comfy clean well equipped and quiet. To the back was a lovely garden leading to the beck-very relaxing. Situation in Bedale could not be better.

“English Country Garden”

Beautiful cottage with stunning gardens. Interior not particularly to our taste, but nevertheless very well equipped and clean & comfortable. Excellent value for money and booking procedure very smooth thanks to the really helpful owners.

“Excellent holiday property”
Reviewed 23 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We only had 3 days to enjoy this excellent little cottage but what a 3 days. Our little dog loved the huge back garden and going for the lovely walk along the beck at the back of the garden.
The cottage is equiped with everything you could need and is very comfortable and very clean. Very quiet even though you can walk to the shops in 2 minutes.
Will be booking again as soon as I can arrange more time off work. Thanks to Terry for making our stay so perfect.

“A perfect home away from home to explore the Dales”
Reviewed 10 June 2016 for a stay in May 2016

The cottage is the perfect home away from to explore one of the most beautiful parts of the UK. Having grown up in the area (and been a pupil at Bedale school), it was with great anticipation that myself and the family turned up for our holiday. The cottage is beautiful, furnished like a home rather than a holiday rental, and with everything we could need provided. The location is perfect, being a hundred yard or so from the centre of Bedale but quiet enough to feel tranquil. The walk along the Beck behind the house topped things off nicely, especially as I was able to take a wander along it with our train mad 7 year old to see the trains running through Bedale on the Wensleydale railway.

At all time during the booking and lead up to the holiday Terry and Sarah kept in contact, making sure everything went well. It was a pleasure doing business with them.

Bedale itself is the perfect base for exploring both the Dales, North Yorkshire Moors and Vale of Mowbray. Hawes is only an hours drive away with Leyburn and Aysgarth Falls on the way. In the opposite direction is Northallerton, and beyond the Moors. Pickering is only an hour and a half away with the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Coupled with the train journey to Whitby makes a great day out. York is only about 45 minutes away and Teeside about the same in the opposite direction. Bedale has plenty of takeways for every taste and Ripon, about a half hour away has some wonderful shops and a stunning cathedral.

We've already recommended the cottage to family and friends and are determined it won't be too long before we return. It will definately be our first choice accomodation for our next Yorkshire holiday.
