“Delightful Spacious Cottage”
Reviewed 13 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Laburnum Cottage is deceptively spacious, with everything needed for a relaxing holiday. The garden is an absolute delight, really large and leading down, through a lockable gate to a path beside the beck. The beds are really comfortable, with calm neutral décor and high quality bedding. The original features, like the fireplaces in the spacious bedrooms make this cottage a delight, and it is just a very short walk from the market square. I recommend A Taste of India, delicious food and helpful staff at reasonable prices.

“ideal little cottage with lovely comfy beds”
Reviewed 5 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Excellent quaint little cottage , very clean and spacious , everything you need including a lovely comfy beds. owners very helpful when we had a little trouble with heating, nothing was too much bother and soon rectified.
Long closed in back garden ideal for our little doggy who thoroughly enjoyed himself.
Ideally situated for long walks down the river and a short walk to an excellent fish and chip shop which served the biggest fried haddock I've seen in years.
would definitely book again.

“Bit of a surprise”
Reviewed 16 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

We arrived at Laburnum cottage and thought this is a bit built up. Very quickly we learnt to love where we were located, being just several hundred meters from a delightful market square, with bustling pubs restaurants, shopping and friendly people. To the rear of the property a delightful walk along the Beck, including the historic never finished canal wharf. Don't leave it to late to discover the community not for profit bakery, yummy or what. That's within several hundred yards, then there is it's ideal location for exploring the Dales and Moors of Yorkshire. Defoe recommend, we would like to return.

Oh, not forgetting they are dog friendly.

“Great place to stay.”
Reviewed 9 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

The cottage is well located and well equipped. Shops, pubs etc are only a short walk away. The garden leading to the beck is nice to sit in with a glass of vino and just chill [ its a nice walk along the beck.]
The taste of India is probably the best restaurant [the chippy is well worth a visit] Lots of places around to visit, all in all a good place to base yourself from!

Stayed here in February with our family. We had a wonderful time at the cottage, everything we needed was provided and shops were within a few minutes walk. Nice walk from the garden as well. Excellent location to explore places around Yorkshire. Had a lovely meal in Panetti's Italian - 10 mins walk from the cottage. Would def recommend the cottage and return again in the future.
