This was a first time in Malta for my boyfriend and I. Following recommendations from the Lonely Planet guide we decided to stay during our three nights in Gozo in a Farmhouse. It was definitely not long enough. Farmhouse Lily exceeded our expectations. It is a beautiful 5 story house in the very quiet town of Ghajnsielem. The last floor being an open air terrace ideal for breakfast and a nice dinner or snack during the sun set.
The house can actually sleep 6 people. It has two double bedrooms and a twin room. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped, we cooked dinner a couple of times.
We were greeted by Paul at the ferry terminal and we followed him to Farmhouse Lily. He gave us some very useful information on Gozo, what to do and some tips to understand the Gozitan culture.
Ghajnielem is a very laid back town, very close to the harbor where you will find some nice restaurants (Tmun is highly recommended - see review!). Being quiet allows for a great rest during the day/night and it is an ideal starting point if you want to discover the Island of Gozo and the many activities you can do and the sights to visit.
I could not recommend this place enough. It made our holiday and I am looking forward to stay at Farmhouse Lily again soon.
