I stayed one night at the Nirwana Beach club. The rooms are clean but nothing special. They have a great offer of activities and except from really bad service in one of the restaurants it was a nice stay. You have all over the hotel complex really good wifi and the breakfast is very delicious with a lot of variety in Asian and western food.

Travelled her for a 4 night 5 day stay. My only negative is it wasn't long enough.

Amazing place with amazing staff. Each Staff member seemed to remember our names and the names of out kids as well. A special shout out to Fitri from the activities centre who is one of a kind.

The pool and surrounds are brilliant, the beach stunning with the entire place being so relaxing. Before going we had read reviews about the cost of dining, but in all honesty it was no different than eating out here in NZ.

A tip for travellers is to upgrade to Emerald class on the ferry. Wasn't to much more expensive but the extra's are worth it. No queuing at customs!! Plus awesome when travelling with kids

Room tip: We booked a 1 bedroom suite, worth every cent

This was my second visit to this place. I was here with friends an year back. I was so impressed with the resort, I visited this for a second time with my family.

We had booked two rooms in the beach resort, which was about 100 meters from the private beach that they own. These were really cute little yellow huts, side by side, with all the basic facilities needed. We had also booked a 4-set lunch at the 'Spice' restaurant. The food was really delicious and also included a plate full of colorful and exotic tropical fruits.

After a short nap after the meal, we headed to the Calypso Floating bar for the sunset. This was one of the best sunsets that I have seen in my life. The floating bar stands at the land's end and we enjoyed a unique experience of the mesmerising sunset and rising stars in the clear dark sky. After this we headed for a seafood dinner at the Kelong restaurant. The food was 'okayish' here, wouldn't recommend it though.

The next day, we had the included buffet breakfast. It was inside the restaurant near the main reception. The last time I visited, the breakfast was beside the infinity pool and was a wonderful experience. I guess they shouldn't have changed that. The quality too was way better last time.

After a short break, we followed this up with some beach activities, which was really fun. Not many people are at this private beach and you can really enjoy the beach activities as well as the quiteness here!

There are a lot other activities that you can do here too, like the spa session, photo session, ninebot tour, bowling etc, which we didn't have the time to explore.

Overall it was a nice experience and would love to go back for the third time too!!

The Beach Club accommodation, the resort pool (a short walk away) and breakfast included were great. Clean, comfortable, great variety of food at breakfast and good service.

But it ends there. Bintan is NO Bali. Once in your hotel you are trapped...expensive food, activities and approximately $150 Singapore dollars to get to town or anywhere aside from the Resorts area, which was serviced by shuttle buses. There are no markets, shops or food stalls on the streets near the resorts. The beach is clean but there are warning signs about jellyfish and black tar.

Room tip: Ask for a Cabana closer to the beach.
