“Good property , needs a bit of work though”
Reviewed 24 August 2013 for a stay in August 2013

Will keep this brief, we where 3 families each made up of 2 adults and 2 under 8's, the property could actually sleep 16 if there where enough small kids, involved because the sofa bed in the lower apartment and the upper tower room can both sleep two kids in under age of about 8. The VIlla is big coped with us all easily and is in a lovely plot and lovely town. Ive rated it 4/5 cos we had a fab time but i just want to highlight a couple of low points.
The Aircon is nigh on useless and excessively loud though once the sunsets the temperature isnt really an issue. The only other gripes are the electrics, if you use the oven with either the hob/kettle/or microwave then the fuse trips, fuse is next to the kitchen so no big deal just a pain, the washing machine also trips a couple of times every wash but that fuse is in the lower apartment and is a pain in the backside, though a new machine arrived whilst we were there and if you stick to the ECO programmes then it trips less.
Finally there was an air blockage in the water pipes that wont shift , so if anyone uses water in the house the most god awful screech goes around the main building constantly.
I must stress that we did enjoy the holiday fantastically and that these are the only negatives, ive highlighted them cos they may not be what you may be expecting when you pay £5,000 for a 2 week stay but they also are just 'normal house' problems.
We did joke that we'd ask the owners if we could have same 2 weeks next year for free and we'll put right all the wrongs for free, such as the fuses and tatty cabling and sockets, and get some decent quiet aircon units, and get it so the shower water temperatures stay constant rather than constantly going hot and cold!

Also Derek and Jenny over the road are lovely people and also cant do enough for you!!!

Management Response
22 Nov 2013
Every winter we undertake new work and replace anything that is showing signs of wear and tear. Our friends (Derek and Jenny)across the road who look after the villa will correct anything that is not right if told at the time.
We have to charge a little extra for numbers over 12 as there will be more linen and cleaning involved.

“Ideally suited to our needs”
Reviewed 5 March 2013 for a stay in July 2012

We had up to 11 in our family group, aged 11 and up - the spacious house and quiet resort was ideal for us. Plenty of room to sleep and eat and well fitted out, everything we needed. The master bedroom up the top is especially good. We spent some time every day in or around a good sized pool, good selection of outdoor furniture. The lovely sandy beach is a 5 minute walk down a steep road - we had big waves some days and calm waters suitable for snorkelling on others. There are coastal walks in both directions - one through woods and the other up a hill. The boys hired bikes from a local town and explored. There are a few shops in Cala Mesquida but we preferred to drive 10mins to a larger supermarket.

The only problem we encountered was some visiting unpleasant people looking for opportunities to burgle houses of relaxed tourists - luckily for us they came face to face with some of the kids and soon disappeared. So always be careful to lock up.

We thoroughly recommend the property.
